Poland, with 10 minutes to go, were getting deeper and deeper.

Stephan Lichtsteiner found himself down the left wing and it was flicked on at the edge of the area. The ball bounced out to Shaqiri on his left foot and he caught it sweetly. Lukasz Fabianski cannot get to it.

Shaqiri has the little flicks and the fancy pants, but he waited for this moment. He has got his country back in the game.

Shaqiri has so much confidence, it does not matter if he is having the biggest stinker in the world, he is prepared to try something.

Wow! What a brilliant goal from Xherdan Shaqiri as he pulls Switzerland back into the game!

A cross from the left is flicked on, then nodded half away to Shaqiri right on the edge of the 18-yard box. The Stoke man is quickly airborne to throw himself into an overhead kick, he connects like a dream and the ball flies in off the inside of the post!

The Swiss set-piece - that's what they are all about! Xherdan Shaqiri's free-kick is deep, it's headed back to Johan Djourou and while his shot is tame, Haris Seferovic follows up with a curling effort which clatters the crossbar!

What a great save that is. Fabianski saved it with his right hand and it might have been easier to go with his left. It was heading for the top corner.

A super free-kick over the wall by Switzerland's Ricardo Rodriguez.

It was a good job Lukasz Fabianski tip-toed over so he could get to it. He had a good starting position and the ball was heading for the top corner.

    A cracking save.
