Not one for the Courtois highlight reel. He slips awfully in trying to control a backpass and allows it to go out for a corner. Thankfully for him, his defence stand firm to keep Hungary out.

Chance! Belgium split open the Hungary defence like an axe through butter as Romelu Lukaku's ball finds De Bruyne in the clear. He has just Kiraly to beat but the keeper gets his tracksuit clad leg in the way to save.

"Brilliant cross, fantastic execution of the header. But where was the marking? Hungary stepped up and didn't get the offside and they were queuing up at the back post."

Like an unwatched kid's party, this could get messy very quickly if Hungary aren't careful. Belgium look like they are keen to teach someone a serious lesson.

    Toby Alderweireld

This has been coming for almost the first minute. It is a good header from Toby Alderweireld inside the box but he owes a big debt of thanks to the quality of the delivery from Kevin de Bruyne from the free-kick from the left. Told you he looked in the mood. Hungary's defence seemingly decided to take that set-piece off.

Kevin de Bruyne looks in the mood - ominously for Hungary. He tries a low shot from the edge of the box that Gabor Kiraly dives down to save. I'm liking the look of this. I'm liking it a lot.

    Hungary 0-0 Belgium

Gergo Lovrencsics has Hungary's first effort - a low shot from outside the box that Thibaut Courtois saves with ease.

Belgium waste no time in breaking down the other end and Eden Hazard's cross just evades Romelu Lukaku in the box before the striker has an effort pushed behind from close range.

Eden Hazard has made a busy start. He tries a couple of times to get past a marker on the edge of the box but is tackled firmly. Then Kevin de Bruyne comes to the party with an effort from range that flies over the bar.

There's a good 70s vibe to the Belgium kit. It'll go well with Fellaini's hair.

We've and a minute of play and it is already at a higher pace than at any point during last night's game. Bodes well.

Twelve times these two have met, with Belgium leading the head-to-head by eight wins to two. However, they haven't met in a competitive fixture since the 1982 World Cup when they drew 1-1 in Elche. Alex Czerniatynski scored a late equaliser for Belgium to take them through to the second phase at Hungary's expense. So there's a long-standing score to settle then.

The last meeting between the two was a friendly in 2009 in Ghent. Marouane Fellaini, Thomas Vermaelen and Kevin Mirallas scored the goals in a 3-0 Belgium win.

Kevin de Bruyne has been a big plus for Belgium, his weight of passing, whether it be 20 or 40 yards is brilliant.

As a forward, you need a guy who can pass it forward and can he find you?

He makes Belgium tick, they look to him. Left foot, right foot, he put superb balls in which are crying out to be hit.

He has a picture in his head, he knows what he is going to do before the ball comes to him.

"Wales will play one of these teams in the last eight.

"Looking at their half of the draw, Belgium have to be the favourites to get to the final because they have match-winners.

"They have become more cohesive as the tournament has gone on too, which bodes well.

"Hungary surprised me by winning Group F, because they had to come through the play-offs to make it to France, but if Belgium play as well as I think they will, they will win."

    Lawro's prediction: 0-2

Hungary's collective organisation makes them very difficult to beat. Belgium have already lost against well-organised Italy side, surely they won't make the same mistake today?

You have to make the individuals in Belgium as a team. Playing Kevin de Bruyne in the hole, he is pulling the strings, keep Eden Hazard wide.

A game against Wales awaits Belgium, but they have to get past Hungary first.

Belgium's quality will come to the fore today.
