So, thanks for joining us, on the day when Arsenal Ladies won the Women's FA Cup for a record 14th time.

Young England forward Dan Carter's first-half curler was enough for the Gunners to deservedly beat the 2015 winners Chelsea, in front of a new competition record crowd of 32,912.

"I think our players deserve it for all the effort. They work hard every day and the secret is the team, they stuck together in the difficult moments.

"We had the confidence to play on this big pitch, played good football and then we won. 

"We had more opportunities, especially in the first half where we could have scored more goals. 

"Chelsea were better in the second half, but I think that we deserved to win."

Arsenal lift the Women's FA Cup

Now the Arsenal players head up the steps to receive the trophy.

They may be the record 14-time winners but this is the first time the club has lifted the Women's FA Cup at Wembley - and that will make this win arguably the most special in their entire history.

The 2015 winners of the cup collect their runners-up medals, on the famous balcony at Wembley.

To say they look disappointed is a huge understatement.

Arsenal goalscorer and Player of the Match Dan Carter:

"That goal has to be up there as one of the best of my career .

"To get the winner at Wembley is something I've always dreamt of. It's amazing. I'm over the moon.

"Today hopefully kick-starts our season now."

And you have to say, they deserved to win today. They were the better side and could have scored three or four goals.

Chelsea are running out of time and they have lost the ball.

Surely Arsenal are now going to win their 14th Women's FA Cup?

Chelsea win a corner through Gemma Davison but the delivery goes over everybody.

Then Eniola Aluko's deep cross can't quite be turned towards goal by Niamh Fahey's outstretched leg.

Gemma Davison creates an opening with some magic for Chelsea, skipping into the box, but her shot is blocked and it bounces up for Fran Kirby, who volleys just wide.
