The big news from Chelsea is that England's Eniola Aluko, the player of the match in the last year's final, is only on the bench.

With five world-class forwards to choose from, one Blues player was always going to miss out on a place in Chelsea's starting front four.

Instead, England's Karen Carney and Gemma Davison start on the wings, with Ji So-Yun at number 10 and Fran Kirby up top.

Meanwhile, left-back Claire Rafferty is on the bench, so Ana Borges starts in defence.

  2. Arsenal Ladies team newspublished at 13:18

    Arsenal v Chelsea (14:00 BST)

Arsenal's team news is in and the big news is that veteran Gunners and England legend Kelly Smith has been handed a place in the starting XI.

The 37-year-old missed much of last season with a very unfortunate injury and, in the build-up to this match, revealed just how much she wanted to play in Arsenal's first Wembley Women's FA Cup final.

There's no Gemma Rose for Pedro Martinez Losa's side, so Josephine Henning comes in at centre-back.

Nigeria winger Asisat Oshoala gets the nod to start, while Danielle van de Donk - who scored a hat-trick in Arsenal's semi-final, is only on the bench.

But England stars Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Fara Williams, Jordan Nobbs and Dan Carter all start.

Striker Jodie Taylor is yet to feature for Arsenal, having signed the England international from American National Women's Soccer League side Portland Thorns last month.
