Burnley have been dominant in this second half. They have stood firm when QPR have come forward, apart from the strike from Faurlin which hit the post.

The big test is about recruitment. Burnley will have a lot more money if they get promoted. They can keep hold of their better players and award them better contracts. You'd expect Burnley and Sean Dyche to reward the players who got them promotion.

I think there was a foul initially on Sam Vokes as he was going to win the header. Maybe Stephen Ward on Matt Ingram is the foul Jon Moss has called it up for. That is not a foul for me and Burnley are unlucky there.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 80 mins

    Burnley 1-0 QPR

The crowd are on their feet again and they think it's another Burnley goal.

Sam Vokes with the header again but Jon Moss has spotted a foul in the build-up on Matt Ingram.

    Into the last 10 minutes.

  8. Burnley 1-0 QPRpublished at 80 mins

Burnley almost put the seal on this victory but Matt Ingram in the QPR goal is there to deny them.

Scott Arfield's left-foot shot is stopped by Ingram's outstretched leg on the goal line from only 10 yards out.

Burnley have been able to get up the pitch more and get the ball into their strikers in the second half. It's not been a vintage performance by any means from Burnley but they have been able to cause QPR problems in the second half. They have stayed well organised and disciplined. Everyone knows their roles.

  10. Burnley 1-0 QPRpublished at 78 mins

That unbeaten run Kevin Kilbane mentioned just now will stretch to 22 matches for Burnley if they avoid defeat in this one.

It would also go past the run of 21 matches that fellow challengers Brighton set at the start of this season.

  11. Burnley 1-0 QPRpublished at 75 mins

    Finally a change for Burnley.

Andre Gray makes way for Ashley Barnes in attack. Not been one of Gray's more successful afternoons, but he did force the free-kick that's led to Sam Vokes' all important 14th league goal of the season as it stands.

Burnley's unbeaten run is a tremendous achievement. They've come good at the right time. You wondered if the draws would come back to haunt them but they have been grinding out wins. It has been a great turnaround from Sean Dyche since Christmas.

  13. Burnley 1-0 QPRpublished at 72 mins

Double change from QPR to use up all their substitutions.

Off goes the impressive Michael Petrasso and Nasser El Khayati is on in his place. Sebastian Polter is replaced by Ben Gladwin up front.

    No changes yet from Burnley.

It is going to be nervy and edgy. Burnley need to get Andre Gray in the game because he has come to life in the second half. He has been holding up the ball well and stretching the QPR defence with his pace.

    Burnley 1-0 QPR

Well, QPR are still going for it here.

Alejandro Faurlin strikes the post with an effort from a left-foot drive on the edge of the D of the penalty area.

Tom Heaton wasn't getting there, but the ball was swinging away and off the right side of the post if you're of a Burnley persuasion.

It will be difficult for QPR to get themselves back in this game and open up a defence which is very rigid. Burnley do not over-expose themselves when they attack.

"There's only one Sam Vokes" chant the Burnley fans.

He could be the toast of east Lancashire come 24 or so minutes time.

The relief is palpable around the crowd and the Burnley fans.

QPR will feel a bit stunned by that having given a decent account of themselves in this one. Conor Washington is on for Junior Hoilett as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink looks for an equaliser.

What a moment. It is a good ball in from Jones and it is anticipation from Sam Vokes. He gets across Clint Hill and lets the pace on the ball do the work. He was injured when Burnley got promoted two years ago and that is a great moment for him. It has been coming.
