QPR still hanging in there and frustrating Burnley.

Not looking at all like a side without a win in their past three league games.

Grant Hall didn't read the bounce but Andre Gray totally mis-hit it. Why didn't he play it across goal? It would have been a tap-in for Sam Vokes. That sums up Gray's day so far. He didn't get his head up to look for his partner as he wanted to go for goal.

Close for Burnley to that all important goal...

Andre Gray, their big money signing at the start of the season, is in behind the QPR defence, but he can't direct his attempted right-foot lob on target or even towards strike partner Sam Vokes.

It has been a great story at Burnley over the last three years or so. You've got a level-headed manager in Sean Dyche and he knew they were building despite being relegated last year. If they go up this time they will be in a better position to stay there. Getting back up this season could stabilise the club for the next 10 to 15 years quite easily.

  8. Burnley 0-0 QPRpublished at 53 mins

Remember, Burnley have two chances to get themselves over the line to the Premier League.

If they don't win this game, they can go into Saturday's match against Charlton knowing they will have to do the same again.

That has got the crowd on their feet here. Once the ball came back to Arfield he was trying to guide it beyond Matt Ingram into the far corner. He was so unlucky.

Big chance for Burnley as Scott Arfield almost guides a right-foot volley into the top corner after the ball had broken back out to him outside the box from a searching free-kick.

Matt Ingram left like a statue in the QPR goal.

  11. Burnley 0-0 QPRpublished at 48 mins

A brief moment of amusement for the crowd there as a ball spends a long time rolling back off the corrugated roof after a QPR defender had punted it out of touch.

It eventually comes back down to earth but only after play had resumed with another ball.

Any neutral would have thought the standard from Burnley in the first half was pretty poor. QPR created the better chances and should be one or two goals ahead.

It was a cagey first half and one that QPR had probably the better chances in.

Will Sean Dyche have fired his men up for one last push?

Burnley are an extremely fit side and they will eventually get the momentum. If they don't over-expose themselves the chances will come at some stage.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 2 May 2016

    Burnley 0-0 QPR

And that is the half-time whistle.

It was a fairly quiet end to the first half. QPR ended the first period on top.

Burnley know victory will seal automatic promotion, but they haven't been too threatening in front of goal as yet.

"I'd like to watch the Tottenham match but I'm on a flight back from Italy," Ranieri said. "My mother is 96 years old and I would like to have lunch with her. I will be the last man in England to know."

Tottenham need to win at Chelsea to keep the title race alive - can they do it? Find out with our live text and radio coverage from 19:00 BST.

You're excused if you have a pre-arranged dinner date with your mother. If it's good enough for Claudio, it's good enough for us.
