"This hulking beast 'Producer' has been here since August and I understand it was supposed to be moved yesterday. Perhaps they changed their mind given Boro's home form in 2015-16..."

For the record -  Boro's home record in the Championship this season reads 16 wins, four draws and two defeats in 22 home games. Not too shabby.

It's been a season to forget for relegated Charlton Athletic.

Charlton supporters have disrupted recent home matches by throwing beach balls onto the field, such as here in a game against Middlesbrough in March

Fans are staging a sit-in protest outside the ground before today's match.

Spokesperson Heather Alderson told BBC London: "We are continuing to put pressure on the club. We don’t see the current ownership as being feasible. We wouldn’t support anyone trying to get the game abandoned but we will be visible.

“We are fighting for the very soul of Charlton and want a regime change. The club needs a stable foundation. Roland Duchatelet has managed to disable a relationship between a club and its supporters."

Burnley are already guaranteed automatic promotion and will be champions if they win at Charlton. Failure to win could see them overtaken by Middlesbrough or Brighton, who are both two points behind the Clarets.

Middlesbrough will be promoted with a win or a draw against Brighton. Brighton will be promoted if they win at the Riverside.

Whichever club misses out on automatic promotion will go into the play-offs alongside Hull, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday, who are all already certain of a top-six finish.

The three relegation places have already been filled by MK Dons, Charlton and Bolton.
