First chance for Barca as the clock ticks towards the eight-minute mark. Luis Suarez bends his run to pick up Andres Iniesta's slick throughball, the Uruguayan smashing into the side-netting.

Deportivo's main threat - some might say only threat - is hometown hero Lucas Perez. He's banged in 16 league goals this season, but overruns the ball as he scampers down the right flank. Heavy.

Barca easing into their stride, Dani Alves and Lionel Messi seeing plenty of the ball on that right flank. Depor getting plenty of men behind the ball, letting their opponents play in front of them. Barca still to threaten.

Quiet start on the pitch, less so in the stands. The Depor fans are in good voice, roaring their own team on, booing Barca when they have the ball. Neither side has troubled the opposing penalty box yet.

Game on! Depor, in that familiar blue and white striped combo, get the ball rolling.

What's most remarkable about Barca's stutter is that it came on the back of that monster 39-match unbeaten run. And coach Luis Enrique still has faith in his side to complete the job and win La Liga.

"I'm convinced we're going to win the league, if I wasn't I wouldn't be sat here," he told a news conference on Tuesday. 

"I like adversity, that's how I am. I want to turn this around, win and put on a show. I want to delight the fans who are behind us and can't explain this situation." 

You can usually recite the Barcelona starting XI with the same ease as you can Humpty Dumpty. But tonight there is an enforced change to that familiar line-up. Influential centre-back Gerard Pique is out through suspension, meaning Marc Bartra comes in for only his fourth Liga start of the season. So first up is Barcelona. The faltering Spanish champions have lost their past three matches - against Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Valencia - blowing La Liga wide open. Barca don't lose three league matches in a row, do they?! But they have, for the first time since 2003. Surely it can't be a not-so fab four? Deportivo La Coruna, currently down in 14th, stand in their way. Depor have only won once in their past six outings...

Of course, none of us have got a clue which trophy cabinet will be home to the Liga trophy next season. Barca looked almost certain to retain their crown as they scorched clear of the Madrid teams with three-quarters of the season gone. Nine points clear! That was the Catalan club's lead the start of April. Now, three defeats later, that lead has vanished.

Atletico have dragged themselves level, Real lurking just another point behind. All three are playing tonight. Who will be top of the pile by 11pm tonight? Who will be top of the pile after the final round of games on 15 May?
