That was a horror moment for Balatoni just at the point when Kilmarnock must have been starting to believe they could escape this relegation fight. Vital that they hang in and take at least a point

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 13.30

Caley Thistle get the second half underway perhaps wondering how on earth they are behind in this game - and how they might be dragged into the struggle to avoid relegation.

  11. Former Inverness CT midfielder Barry Wilsonpublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 24 April 2016

    On BBC Radio Scotland

"A goal was what the game needed as Kilmarnock were just sitting in and hitting on the break. If that was the plan, it worked and it will probably be more of the same in the second half."

What a massive moment for Kilmarnock. The cries from the bench to Higginbotham were "hit it" and he did superbly for the goal. Inverness just didn't exploit their opportunities and are now facing a more uncomfortable run-in if they can't get on the scoresheet

  14. Terrors horrorpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 24 April 2016

That goal will have come as a hammer blow not just for Caley Thistle but also for Dundee United as they prepare to host Hamilton Accies in one of two later kick-offs.

A win for Kilmarnock would lift Lee Clark's side 11 points clear of the Terrors and would no doubt just about end Mixu Paatelainen's hopes of lifting the bottom side clear of relegation.

It would also drag Accies, and maybe even Caley Thistle, into the battle to avoid a play-off.

Inverness CT clearly the more attacking side now but need to capitalise on their pressure. Kilmarnock perhaps need to take a few more risks to get greater numbers in advanced positions if they're to get in front

  18. Inverness CT 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 40mins

Another chance for Caley Thistle as Ross Draper's header from an Iain Vigurs corner finds Josh Meekings at the back post, but the defender fires well wide on the stetch.
