This referee loves a yellow card - Dani Alves goes past Dani Ceballos, sort of catching his neck with his hand as he went past. 

Ceballos goes down holding his face, getting Alves booked. Hilarious - the dive not the fact he got Alves punished.

I wonder if he's ever been penalised for handball before...

This is a long time for Real Betis to hold out now with 10 men against the best striking trio of all time (quite possibly).

Barcelona's first chance on target as Neymar changes his body shape to beat defender German Pezzella but it's straight at Antonio Adan. It's getting better from the champions though.

Real Betis defender Heiko Westermann is the third player of the gsame booked. Lionel Messi nutmegged him so the German took him down.

This doesn't look like a team who have scored 14 goals in their last two games - Barcelona that is, not Real Betis.

As I write that, Neymar heads their first proper chance wide.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique catches Alvaro Cejudo on the shoulder with the highest of boots. He goes down injured but the referee waits patiently for him to get up so he can book him. Pique acts like he doesn't know what he did wrong.

Lionel Messi is booked for having a moan to the referee about that. That must be a pretty rare occurrence.

Bruno, who was a minute earlier bamboozled by Neymar, is booked for a late challenge on the Brazilian.

Neymar does Bruno with a bit of skill on the left side of the box and pulls it back to Andres Iniesta - the Barca captain tries an ambitious first-time effort and slices it well wide.

Jordi Alba's volleyed cross from the left actually flies towards goal but Antonio Adan is able to hold it. If that counts as a shot, it's Barcelona's first.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique goes down after a late shin-raking challenge from Dani Ceballos. His scream was so loud I could hear it in Manchester. Admittedly I could hear it through my headphones...

Anyway, he's OK seconds after making the noise of a banshee.

Andres Iniesta plays a ball over the top of the Real Betis defence and Lionel Messi can't get onto the end of it - goal-kick.

Barcelona are having plenty of possession but not doing too much with it. Real Betis are just sitting back, despite not having anything to play for.

Real Betis have the first chance of the game. They have a three-on-three and should probably work a clear shooting opportunity but Gerard Pique is able to get to Ruben Castro's shot to block it over.

And from the corner, Real Betis have the second chance of the game. Bruno's header is tipped over the crossbar by Claudio Bravo.

Simon Boendermaker: Can't understand why Martin Montoya and Alen Halilovic get to play v Barca, must be hard to ignore that a loss helps their parent club 

Halilovic played for Sporting Gijon last Saturday as Barca won 6-0. Montoya starts today. Both are Barcelona players out on loan.

Barcelona need to win today to keep the title race in their own hands. Lose or draw and it's Atletico's to lose.
