Matt Atherden: I can't help but feel we (Bolton) will struggle next season. A team of youth and no clear transfer objective shown.

Jonny Young: Hull have a lot of recent Wembley experience so get past Derby and I'd back us in the final.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 59 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Hull

Bolton with the first change of the game and it's Zach Clough, who has been bright in the early minutes of the second-half, who makes way for Stephen Dobbie.

  3. Bolton 0-0 Hullpublished at 57 mins

How on earth have Hull City hit the post and Bolton got away with some poor defending there?

Michael Dawson with a casual flicked header at the near post from a Robert Snodgrass corner sees the ball bounce across goal and off the woodwork.

  4. CLOSE!published at 54 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Hull

    MASSIVE chances for Bolton.

Neil Danns is first to be denied by Eldin Jakupovic and then there is an effort cleared off the line by Brian Lenihan from the resulting corner. And it would have been a Michael Dawson own goal, with Hull's captain sending his defensive header the wrong way.

Huge moments there for Bolton after Zach Clough threaded the ball through for Danns to fire. It's that chance which the Trotters really should have taken.

  5. Bolton 0-0 Hullpublished at 49 mins

Just as I tapped that words out, Robert Snodgrass tries an audacious effort looking to find the top right corner of Ben Amos' goal. A cheeky chip from inside the box and fabulous vision and skills to test the Bolton goalkeeper from a quickly-taken corner.

Amos, however, does enough to palm it away.

  6. Bolton 0-0 Hullpublished at 49 mins

Oh now this is a treat. The sun has decided to pay us all a visit in Bolton.

I'm looking on the bright side and will say that we will be treated to a few goals...

So far this half, nothing whatsoever to speak of apart from the sun. But it's early.

Interim boss Jimmy Phillips will be urging his Bolton players to deliver something worth celebrating in their final home game of 2015-16.

In a miserable campaign, blighted by their financial troubles and largely overshadowed by the protracted sale of the club, the 14-game winless run that they are on is not even the worst thing about their season.

In League One, Wigan chairman David Sharpe is watching the Latics in action at Blackpool alongside his grandfather - Wigan owner Dave Whelan.

Wigan are drawing 0-0 at half-time, which will be enough to see them promoted back to the Championship at the first attempt.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 30 April 2016

    Bolton 0-0 Hull

Both sides have carved out chances.

Bolton's Darren Pratley was denied by Eldin Jakupovic and Zach Clough's follow-up effort was blocked in what was the hosts' best moment so far.

And just before the break, Hull's Robert Snodgrass crashed a free-kick off the top of the bar.

Twenty spots and 53 points separate these two sides, but you could not tell which is destined for League One and which is chasing promotion to the Premier League.

Darren Pratley is the second Bolton man into the book today. He gets his tackle all wrong as his Shaun Maloney changes direction.

Robert Snodgrass from distance hits the top of the crossbar. Fine hit, that.

  15. Bolton 0-0 Hullpublished at 42 mins

Bolton looking settled on the ball, flooding forward with purpose and causing trouble on the flanks. Hang on, is this the side that is rock bottom of the league and already relegation?

Yep, that's the one. Heartening stuff from the hosts.

Harry Maguire fouls Emile HeskeyImage source, Rex Features

Hull's Harry Maguire chops down Emile Heskey.

While the ball is won clean enough, Maguire gets his trailing leg wrapped around the back of Heskey's and the Bolton veteran goes down with a pained look.

Heskey, however, does a Taylor Swift and shakes it off.

    Steve BruceImage source, Rex Features

Steve Bruce will not be a barrel of laughs at half-time because Hull City have looked flat so far and really are allowing Bolton to dictate proceedings at times.

Darren Pratley again finds space in the box to meet a Lawrie Wilson cross, but the header is a long way off target.

  18. Bolton 0-0 Hullpublished at 31 mins

Every effort that Bolton muster is going to be worth a mention by my reckoning.

Emile Heskey gives it a crack from distance, but Hull defender Michael Dawson gets enough of a block on the effort to make it easy for keeper Eldin Jakupovic to collect the ball.

It must be said that Bolton are creating a good few chances.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Hull

Referee Graham Scott is getting good use out of his whistle and Mark Davies is first into the book for a reckless tackle out wide. Harmless, but poorly timed.

Free-kick in a dangerous area on the right again comes to nothing for Hull.

  20. Bolton 0-0 Hullpublished at 12:59 British Summer Time 30 April 2016

Bolton defender Lawrie Wilson desperate for a hug as he wraps his arms around Hull's Robert Snodgrass. I'm calling that a hug because there is no way you can dress that up as a tackle or body check of any sort. Free-kick is the result.

What a loving sort of guy Wilson must be.
