Third round: Man Utd 1-0 Sheffield Utd
This was a make or break match for Louis van Gaal's career at Manchester United. The Red Devils came into the tie on the back of a nine game winless run in all competitions and speculation was rife that a defeat would end the Dutchman's time at Old Trafford.
Manchester United looked to be heading for another game without victory, until winger Memphis Depay was fouled in the box and Wayne Rooney popped up to score the winner late in injury time against the League One side.

Make sure you still warm up properly Sanjay!
Semi-final: Crystal Palace 2-1 Watford
In 1990, Palace boss (then midfielder) Alan Pardew scored a headed winner in extra-time to beat Liverpool 4-3 and set up a final against Manchester United.
There was no such drama in this season's semi, but Palace did emerge as hard-fought victors over Watford to set up a repeat of the 1990 final.
Yannick Bolasie headed Palace ahead at Wembley when Damien Delaney flicked on Yohan Cabaye's early corner before Troy Deeney nodded home Jose Manuel Jurado's corner for the Hornets.
But Palace sealed a first FA Cup final appearance for 26 years when Connor Wickham met Pape Souare's cross.

Firstly, there is no such thing as a normal day in Canada.
But secondly, that is an impressive 24 hours.
Quarter-final: Reading 0-2 Crystal Palace
Once again, Palace put their their Premier League struggles on hold to beat Reading and earn a place in their first FA Cup semi-final in 21 years.
Alan Pardew's side had still yet to register a league win in 2016 by the time the quarter-final came around but saw off the Championship side with two late goals - Yohan Cabaye's penalty and a Fraizer Campbell strike.

Fifth round: Tottenham 0-1 Crystal Palace
Palace continued to plummet down the Premier League table, extending their winless league run in 2016 to seven games. In contrast, Tottenham were flying high in the top flight. There was only one way this game could go, right? Wrong.
Martin Kelly's first-half strike at White Hart Lane sent the Eagles into the last eight, with Wilfried Zaha the provider.
It sent Palace into the quarters for the first time since 1995.

Fourth round: Crystal Palace 1-0 Stoke
After beating Southampton in round three, Palace lost their next three league games, but returned to winning ways in round four courtesy of a 1-0 home win over Stoke.
Wilfried Zaha was again on target, sprinting through the Potters' defence and calmly finishing past Danish goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard.
"We've got the talent to win it," said Palace boss Alan Pardew afterwards. "You need a bit of luck with the draw: we don't need Man City away, we don't need Chelsea away, someone at home would be nice."
Who did they get? Tottenham away.

Dedication to the cause indeed from Jonathan & company here.
Third round: Southampton 1-2 Crystal Palace
For over three months at the start of 2016, the only games Crystal Palace won were in the FA Cup. In contrast to their dire league form, they achieved some impressive victories in the world's most famous knock-out competition, starting with a 2-1 win at Southampton in the third round.
Wilfried Zaha's second-half strike ultimately earned Palace their place in round four after Oriol Romeu had slotted in a Saints equaliser following Joel Ward's opener.
It was the second season running the Saints had lost to the Eagles and was a particularly sweet victory for Palace boss Alan Pardew against the club that sacked him in 2010.

That's today's result sorted then. Let's all pack up for the day.
Semi-finals
Anthony Martial's injury-time winner sent Manchester United into a record-equalling 19th FA Cup final with a 2-1 victory over Everton at Wembley. Marouane Fellaini had given United a deserved first-half lead from close range - but they were then indebted to goalkeeper David de Gea as he brilliantly saved Romelu Lukaku's 57th-minute penalty.
Everton rallied after a passive first 45 minutes that saw them jeered off at half-time and they drew level with 15 minutes left when Chris Smalling deflected Gerard Deulofeu's cross into his own net before Martial settled the tie.
Crystal Palace set up a repeat of the 1990 final with a 2-1 win over Watford. Yannick Bolasie headed Palace ahead at Wembley before Watford levelled when Troy Deeney nodded home Jose Manuel Jurado's corner.
