We've had the first shot - a left-footed effort from range from Ross Wallace after Brighton failed to clear their lines.

It was bouncing and he couldn't quite get it on target from 25 yards out.

I think Anthony Knockaert and Jiri Skalak will be very important for Brighton. They are there to deliver the ball into Tomer Hemed. It's about the side who will play their normal game.

    Ian Brown

"Brighton reached 89 points, but now they have to start from scratch. That's going to be so difficult to take on board.

"They started with a 21-match unbeaten run and ended with a 14-match unbeaten run.

"Somehow they didn't go up, and somehow they've got to recover."

  15. 'Get over the disappointment'published at 19:29 British Summer Time 13 May 2016

Sheffield Wednesday v Brighton (19:45 BST)

Sheffield Wednesday finished the regular season in sixth while Brighton missed out on automatic promotion on goal difference.

The Seagulls finished the season with a 14-match unbeaten run - but a point at Middlesbrough on the final day was not enough to reach the Premier League.

    Quote Message

You have to be professional in the play-offs. I would say to Brighton - get the Boro result out of your system. It's important for the experienced players to talk to the younger ones to get over the disappointment."

  16. Fortress Hillsboroughpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 13 May 2016

Sheffield Wednesday v Brighton (19:45 BST)

Sheffield Wednesday have a strong home record coming into the first leg of this Championship play-off semi-final.

The Owls lost only two of their 23 home league games at Hillsborough, winning 13 matches and drawing eight times.

Their sole home defeat in 2016 came at the hands of Yorkshire rivals Rotherham in March.

Meanwhile, Hillsborough has not been a happy hunting ground for Brighton.

The Seagulls have never won on their 16 visits to Sheffield Wednesday in all competitions, a run stretching back to 1914.

Can Brighton boss Chris Hughton end that run of form?

  19. No Zamora for Albionpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 13 May 2016

Sheffield Wednesday v Brighton (19:45 BST)

Brighton's veteran striker Bobby Zamora has been ruled out of both legs of the semi-final with a hip injury.

The 35-year-old has good form in the play-offs, having scored the winner in two Championship finals; for West Ham in 2005 and Queens Park Rangers in 2014.

  20. Brighton's play-off heartbreakpublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 13 May 2016

Sheffield Wednesday v Brighton (19:45 BST)

Brighton are hoping it is third time lucky in the Championship play-offs.

The Seagulls have lost at the semi-final stage in two of the last three seasons, first to rivals Crystal Palace in 2012-13 and then Derby County in 2013-14.

"It's not been a great experience in the play-offs since I have been at Brighton but hopefully this is our year," 35-year-old centre-back Gordon Greer said.

Having finished 15 points ahead of Wednesday in the table, is this Albion's best chance of reaching the final at Wembley?
