"Brighton have got Steve Sidwell's experience back but Anthony Knockaert is the big one for me.

"He's the creative player who can do that something different. I think he could be key for Brighton tonight.

"This is retrievable. It's only 2-0 and the first goal will be key. If Brighton get it, the roof will come off."

Carlos Carvalhal is close to creating history for Sheffield Wednesday.

The Portuguese head coach has led the Owls to their highest league finish since 2000, when they were relegated from the Premier League.

The South Yorkshire side are now 90 minutes from the play-off final against Hull City of Derby County.

A clean sheet tonight would book their spot at Wembley.

Hands up who thought Anthony Knockaert would be involved for Brighton tonight, when this was the enduring sight of him from Friday's first leg?

Knockaert left the field on a stretcher after rolling his ankle, but has recovered remarkably quickly to start for the Seagulls this evening.

Wednesday are unchanged from Friday's first leg.

There's about 10 minutes to kick-off at the Amex.

A reminder: no team has ever overturned a semi-final first-leg deficit of two goals or more in the history of the Championship play-offs.

That's the task which faces Brighton this evening following their 2-0 defeat at Hillsborough on Friday.

Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to avoid being on the wrong end of any Albion comeback.

If second-tier play-off history is anything to go by, then Sheffield Wednesday are the overwhelming favourites to reach Wembley tonight.

The winners of tonight's tie will face either Hull City or Derby County in the Championship play-off final on Saturday, 28 May.

However, Owls head coach Carlos Carvalhal is not getting carried away.

"As far as we are concerned, the score is 0-0 when we kick off on Monday," he told the club website.

"Brighton are a dangerous opponent, and they know what they must do.

"I do not even think about the final. I think 100% about the second leg and we are going to Brighton to give our absolute best."

As for Brighton boss Chris Hughton, he has urged his players to rise to the occasion at the Amex Stadium in a bid to overturn that two-goal deficit from the first leg.

“We can draw something from the fact that after playing with 10 men, it could have been even more of a difficult evening for us on Friday," the 57-year-old told the Albion website.

"Thankfully, they didn’t get the extra goals and it gives us a chance.

"The players know what’s at stake. There won’t be a player in that changing room that won’t be up for it or won’t feel that they can do it."

Brighton need to score at least twice tonight to have a chance of making the final at Wembley.

No team has managed to overhaul such a deficit from the first leg in the history of the second-tier play-offs.

But recent form suggests the hosts have the firepower to pull off a comeback against Wednesday this evening.

The Seagulls have found their shooting boots at the Amex in the second half of the season, and they've scored two or more goals in seven of their last 10 home league games.

Albion scored a total of nine goals in consecutive home games last month, beating Fulham 5-0 and then dispatching QPR 4-0 four days later.

How Brighton fans would love to see a repeat of those performances against the Owls.

As well as their two-goal lead from Friday's first leg, Sheffield Wednesday have the upper hand in recent meetings between the two sides.

Brighton have only scored once in their last seven meetings with the Owls, when Keith Andrews netted for the Seagulls in a 1-1 draw in October 2013.

Meanwhile, the Owls drew this season's league meeting in Sussex 0-0 and have only lost once in four visits to the Amex Stadium.

It was a Friday the 13th to forget for Brighton in the first leg at Hillsborough.

The Seagulls lost four players to injury, and were forced to play the final half an hour with 10 men.

Wednesday were ahead through Ross Wallace's fine strike at half-time and Kieran Lee added to their advantage after the break.

That gives the Owls a two-goal lead coming into tonight's game.

Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal has named the same starting XI from Friday's first leg.

Top scorer Fernando Forestieri, who had a goal ruled out for offside on Friday, continues up front alongside Gary Hooper.

In fact, the whole matchday squad is the same as it was at Hillsborough. You don't change a winning team, do you?
