There has barely been a pause in play so far, but Ashley Fletcher's opener remains the only shot on target.

    Barnsley 1-0 Millwall

Yesterday, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday played out a very cagey first 20 minutes.

Not so today! Barnsley and Millwall are both going for goals. It's fast-paced and really lively so far.

Manchester United loanee Ashley Fletcher scored in Barnsley's Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Oxford in April, and now he's put the Tykes in front in the play-off final...

    Barnsley 1-0 Millwall

Barnsley are full of confidence and Adam Hammill has a go from range but fires over.

Millwall need to compose themselves. Seconds before the goal, the Lions had actually gone close to scoring themselves, as Mark Beevers headed very narrowly wide from a Chris Taylor free-kick.

But they have been stunned by Ashley Fletcher's second-minute goal at Wembley.

They're all over the place defensively from a long ball by the goalkeeper. Tony Craig's come in to the team late on and there was a mix-up with him and Mark Beevers.

That early goal has come one minute earlier than Jermaine Beckford's opener for Preston in last year's League One play-off final.

    Ashley Fletcher

What a start! Barnsley are ahead through Ashley Fletcher and the Tykes are in dreamland!

He picks up the ball from a long ball, flicked on to him by Sam Winnall, and after getting the rub of the green with the bounce, he calmly slots a low shot across Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer.

"Millwall boss Neil Harris couldn't call on anyone more experienced than Tony Craig to come in after Byron Webster got injured in the warm-up.

"The 31-year-old, who has worked his way back from injury in recent weeks, was part of the Lions side which won the League One play-off final in 2010.

"Craig was also here three years ago with Brentford when they lost to Yeovil. Harris couldn't ask for a centre-back with more knowledge of playing at Wembley.

"Lions fans far outnumber their Barnsley counterparts here and are making an almighty noise ahead of kick-off."

I bumped into former Charlton defender Steve Brown in the press room, who is here on co-commentary duty for BBC Radio London.

He was part of the Addicks side which won the 1998 Division One play-off final on penalties against Sunderland following a thrilling 4-4 draw.

He doesn't want anyone else to go through the trauma of penalties though.

"I'm going to go for a Millwall win. I think there is something about what Neil Harris has achieved this year. They have gone into the play-offs with a really strong mentality. Barnsley are the in-form team but I think Millwall will make that stride and get back in the Championship," he said.

"I hope it gets sorted in 90 minutes. I wouldn't wish taking penalties on anyone. I came on as a sub for Charlton in 1998 and took one and it was terrifying. When there is so much riding on the game, to miss is horrible."
