Just watching that Marek Hamsik pass over the top of the Russian defence again - if you gave me a fork and some gravy I'd eat it right up. The finish is decent, too.

Oleg Shatov tries to get Russia moving with a tidy turn in the Slovak half but is hustled off the ball.

The Stade Pierre-Mauroy is not sold out but there's plenty of noise - probably helped by the closed roof.

Liam Keen: Get in! Great goal from Slovakia, now we need Russia to do what they did to us! But a Slovakia win is still fine for us.

Daniel Woods: Russia's right-back has been done like a kipper there, embarrassing. Slovakia to win 3-0 is my prediction.

We get a shot of Russia coach Leonid Slutsky on the bench - he's not a healthy looking chap. I'm not sure he should be putting himself through this high pressure situation.

His side are growing into this though and they're injecting a bit of pace into proceedings.

"Russia are showing their intent, their wing-backs are getting really far forward. Having Roman Neustadter holding in defensive midfield as well as he does allows you to do that. 

"Slovakia are looking a bit lethargic, as if they're happy to give up possession."  

Talk about marauding full-backs... Look at how up the pitch the Russian pair have been playing! Left-back Georgy Schennikov (21) and right-back Igor Smolnikov (3) are bombing forward, keeping the Slovak wide men occupied defensively.

Igor Smolnikov, the Russian right-back, should be wearing a pair of Sonic's bright red trainers. He's getting forward at will and clips in a beauty of a cross that Artem Dzyuba stretches and gets a head to. It's easy for Matus Kozacik to claim - although his own defender Jan Durica almost pokes it out of his grasp.
