    Hull 2-1 Leicester

Robert Snodgrass is momentarily down on the deck after being fouled by Christian Fuchs. The Leicester defender, already on a booking, is lucky to still be on the pitch.

    Snodgrass can continue though.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri looks concerned on the touchline.

Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha does too sat in the stands.

Ranieri the first manager to get the chop this season? Nah, I'm just being mischievous, best say that before I get emails and tweets from supporters across the country.

The fairytale story for Hull City is still on. They were sloppy at the start of the first half, but they've shown character, resolve and skill. The KCom is bouncing - can Hull make it three?

At the other end of the pitch, Ahmed Musa curls wide from the edge of the Hull area.

Before the game, it was predicted Hull would struggle at the back and Leicester would be comfy, but it's been the other way round.

Minutes later, Hull have a chance of a third as they gain a free-kick on the edge of the box but Robert Snodgrass's effort clips off the wall and over the crossbar.

Leicester all over the place at the moment.

Wes Morgan has not looked himself. He looks leggy and doesn't look fresh at all .Every time the ball comes in the box there is a problem. It was a fantastic cross and they can't deal with it.

The champions don't like movement. They have been exposed by Hull with the ball over the top. They conceded a lot of goals in pre-season and again today. That defence looks suspect.

    Robert Snodgrass (55 mins)

What the Hull is going on here?

Leicester have been jittery at the back today and get punished as Kasper Schmeichel is too keen to release the ball upfield.

It comes back down the right flank as Ahmed Elmohamady puts a dangerous cross into the area and Danny Simpson makes a hash of the clearance.

The ball falls to Robert Snodgrass on the edge of the area, who drills it first time into the bottom corner of the net.

    Brilliant finish.

Confusion at the back for Leicester, we did not see too much of that last season. Wes Morgan and Kasper Schmeichel leave the ball to each other before the goalkeeper collects.

Steve Hilton: Looks like Leicester City luck is continuing from last season after that penalty award!

Tayor Falore: Didn't take long before for referees to start bungling. New season but some things just don't change

Geoff Dragon: It doesn't matter where he falls, the foul was outside the box therefore not a penalty - the first ref blunder of the season.

    On the spot...

Leicester have scored 11 penalties in the Premier League since August 2015, five more than any other team.

The champions settling into a rhythm now, passing the ball around nicely.

That's something new, they only had 42% possession on average last season.

They are faring slightly better today, with 45% thus far.

Yusuf Tayo: That wasn't a penalty by miles, Re freeing decisions on the wane. The champions in ascendancy.

    Can Hull hold themselves together?

Again, Robert Snodgrass's delivery is top notch. He whips the ball into the corridor of uncertainty between goalkeeper and defence, but no Hull player can get on the end of it.

The only thing I would say is nobody reacted when the referee gave it. They all just accepted it so there must have been contact.

    Riyad Mahrez (47 mins)

Hammered in by Riyad Mahrez. Leicester move off the bottom of the table.

The PFA Player of the Year decides to go straight down the middle of the goal and the champions are up and running.

Hull need to be careful now, see out the next 10 minutes and then build from there.

  15. PENALTY TO LEICESTERpublished at 46 mins

    Hull 1-0 Leicester

Barely a minute into the second period - 14 seconds apparently - and Leicester are awarded a penalty after Tom Huddlestone barges rather clumsily into Demarai Gray over on the edge of the box, but the Leicester man falls inside and the spot kick is given.
