Match of the Day commentator at Vicarage Road
Maybe the chants from Arsenal fans about spending some money will die down a little now that both defender Shkodran Mustafi and striker Lucas Perez are set to arrive, but it appears neither player will be involved in this weekend's fixture at Vicarage Road.
"The two signings would take the club's summer spending to well over £80m, but I'd still like to have seen Alexandre Lacazette among any new faces. Arsenal's interest is well known, yet he remains in Lyon.
Meanwhile, Walter Mazzarri has seen his squad bolstered in the last week or so by three new signings, with the Italian particularly fulsome in his praise for Roberto Pereyra, formerly of Juventus, who he feels can be the missing link in the team.

Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown on new Arsenal signing Lucas Perez: "He has tremendous pace and that's a variation Arsenal need in that final third.
"At the moment a lot goes into Olivier Giroud and you need variety.
"You have to test the back line. This is the Jamie Vardy Arsenal wanted but in the shape of a Spanish player."

Could Arsene Wenger answer the fans' call and splash the cash on some new signings?
The Gunners have reached a deal with Valencia for 24-year-old Germany centre-back Shkodran Mustafi, who is set to sign a five-year contract for a fee in excess of £35m.
They had already agreed to meet a 20m euro (£17.1m) clause to sign Deportivo La Coruna forward Lucas Perez, 27, who scored 17 goals in 37 games last season.
he deals would take Arsenal's spending to almost £100m since last season.
Speaking on Friday, before the players' medicals, Wenger said the club was "working on deals" and he was "99% confident" they would be concluded before the transfer window closes at 23:00 BST on 31 August.
"It looks like it will be frenetic in the last three days. Everyone has sat on money but we know they will all splash out now."
