    Crystal Palace 0-1 Bournemouth

Pretty quiet on the south London front.

Crystal Palace have got their foot on the ball more, but Bournemouth are wise to their plans and are stuffing the wide channels with bodies to prevent them teeing up Christian Benteke with aerial crosses.

    Textbook. Absolutely textbook.

Danny Drinkwater in the centre-circle, in space, a first-time ping over the top which does for Swansea.

Jamie Vardy has the pace to get away, obviously, one touch to control it and then he slams in off the inside of the post.

That move is coming to a European city near you...

    Chelsea 1-0 Burnley

Chelsea's assault on the Burnley goal has slowed slightly.

The Blues look content to hold Burnley at bay for the time being.

They are monopolising possession, making the visitors chase shadows, daring them to come out of position and break their back four.

Everton are doing everything right - bar find the goal. Ross Barkley nods a cross back into the middle, Ryan Shawcross kneels to meet it but can only spear a header toward his own net and Shay Given has to make a lively save.

    Watford 0-1 Arsenal

    Wowzers.

Watford's first serious effort on goal comes from Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.

The Frenchman toe-pokes towards his own net as he cuts out Nordin Amrabat's cross and has to be bailed out by a superb save by Petr Cech.

Got to score those! What a chance for Sunderland, peach of a cross driven to the far post by Patrick van Aanholt, Lamine Kone is all alone six yards out but somehow heads wide.

    Watford 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal within inches of a second as Santi Cazorla rolls the ball across the face of the goal and Theo Walcott puts on the afterburners to get a touch beyond the far post.

Heurelho Gomes gets across to make a save.

    Watford 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal are popping the ball around nicely. As ever.

Watford are struggling to interrupt the pretty patterns. There is only a goal in it though and they will fancy their chance of repeating last year's FA Cup quarter-final shock.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 27 August 2016

    Everton 0-0 Stoke

He can't buy a goal right now but that's great play from Romelu Lukaku, who chases a punt over the top, chips it over the last man and gets a shot off which beats Shay Given - but a defender was back to clear his lines!

    Leicester 0-0 Swansea

That bad weather has also reached Leicester - the game looks like it's being played in a separate time zone than the other games. Darkness.

Jamie Vardy stretches the Swans with another direct run but he can't find anyone with his cross.
