    Southampton 0-0 Sunderland

An early test for Sunderland's young goalkeeper, a teasing cross, he comes for it - and Jordan Pickford is smashed by Charlie Austin!

He drops the ball but the whistle has gone. That sort of challenge was outlawed in about 1957.

You know when groundsmen mow a pretty pattern into the pitch? Leicester were particularly good at it last season.

Well the staff at Southampton appear to have started with a big V down the middle, and then just called it a day. Not sure what they were going for...

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino after his side's 1-1 draw with Liverpool: "It was a game that if you look at the stats it was 50 50.

"Liverpool are a team who want to play and win titles and I think we are in the same way and it was a fair result."

On the game's controversial penalty decision: "It is important to trust in the referee, all of the decisions are very tough."

He added: "Now we have two weeks to wait (until after the international break) and then we will play a lot of games. It is important we try to work hard to be ready."

Can he break the duck today?

Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams both start Premier League games for Everton for the first time, but right back Seamus Coleman misses out because of an ankle injury. Arouna Kone remains on the bench despite scoring twice in the 4-0 EFL Cup victory over Yeovil on Tuesday.

    Everton

Stoke midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is still not fit enough to play because of an ankle injury, with goalkeeper Jack Butland and defender Glen Johnson still also absent through injury.

EFL goals may not have got Kone into Everton's starting line-up but they have got Peter Crouch into Stoke's. He plays in the Premier League for the first time this season after a hat-trick at Stevenage on Tuesday.
