Jack Wilshere is a short, powerful athlete. He's the kind of player who picks up injuries in training, so you have to wrap him in cotton wool and get him right for Saturday.

But let's get it right, he's one of the best central midfielders in England.

The facilities are fantastic, but the gaffer got us together before the season and said this new stadium does not put a point on the board. It will be different to Upton Park on a Tuesday night, so we’ll have to work hard.

West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan on Football Focus: "The atmosphere here is better than anyone expected, and yes it is different but you cannot live in the past. You have to look forward and it has put us on another level. The players have to put in the performances on the pitch, and the manager has to gel the side, but we have to look forward.

"Nobody knows what will happen this season, Leicester smashed the old order last year, Southampton finished top six, we were seventh – can that continue or will the old order be re-established this season? Nobody knows."

The signings of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez should ease some of the pressure on Arsene Wenger.

Mustafi has been earmarked to partner Laurent Koscielny at centre-back, but it's not so clear whether Perez's future lies at centre-forward or on the flank.

Southampton have not got off to the best of starts under Claude Puel. They will be expecting a lot from Nathan Redmond and fellow summer signing Sofiane Boufal, although the latter arrives short of full fitness.

With the top three off to perfect starts and already looking impressive, Arsenal need to put together a winning run just to stay in contention.

They cannot afford to drop points at home - even against a Southampton side that has finished seventh and sixth in the last two seasons.

Flamini, 32, left the Gunners this summer having made 246 appearances over two spells and winning three FA Cups.

The Frenchman, who also won the Serie A title in 2011 during five years at AC Milan, is Palace's fifth permanent signing of the summer.

Meanwhile, loan signing Loic Remy has been ruled out for a number of weeks with an ankle injury.

But Li told the Daily Mail:, external "We still want Hull City and our ambition is to build the club and make it one of the strongest in England."

The consortium paid a seven-figure deposit before the deal collapsed.

The Hull Daily Mail , externalreports the sum paid was around £6m and the consortium's period of exclusivity is now over. At least one other consortium is interested in opening negotiations, the newspaper adds.

I'm sure you are across them - in which case you won't be reading this - but both early kick-offs have been as action packed as you'd hope.

In Scotland, it's Celtic who are 3-1 up on rivals Rangers with half an hour to go. Follow that game in full here.

And at Old Trafford, Manchester City looked magnificent for 40 minutes and went 2-0 up, but a huge error from Claudio Bravo on his debut allowed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to strike back for United. 2-1.

Commentators are fortunate enough to see the team sheets at Premier League games precisely 75 minutes before kick-off.

As the camera phones click, two names will be on everyone's minds - Jack Wilshere and Nacer Chadli.

Much of the credit for Wilshere's stunning loan move has gone to Eddie Howe. It's no surprise that the Bournemouth boss continues to turn heads in the game but he'll be more focused on getting a first league win.

A protracted takeover seems to have rocked the sturdy foundations Tony Pulis has built at West Brom. If record signing Chadli and other new faces like Hal Robson-Kanu can make an impact, Baggies fans will rediscover some hope.

If the game matches the stories surrounding it, it should be a good one.
