Andrew in Southend: 6 years ago we were 3-0 down against West Brom and drew 3-3... who's to say it won't happen again?

Jon: Last time we were 3-0 up at home to West Ham at HT, Demba Ba scored twice on debut and it ended 3-3... I'm not confident of the 3 points just yet!

    You're right Jon.

Back in February 2011 the Baggies led 3-0 at half-time thanks to goals Graham Dorrans, Jerome Thomas and a Winston Reid own goal but a Demba Ba double, and Carlton Cole header, saw West Ham complete the comeback.

There's always hope West Ham fans.

If you are a West Brom fan then go and put your lottery tickets on. It's unbelievable you have West Brom scoring so many in one game.

Great home debut by Nacer Chadi. One goal and two assists from the record signing.

  7. Story of the halfpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    West Brom 3-0 West Ham

I kid you not, this is the possession stats for the match.

West Ham have had all the possession and 10 shots, but only one has been on target and they are dreadful at the back.

I don't want to pick on any players but Arthur Masuaku has had a mare at left-back.

West Brom deserve their three goal lead.

First Masuaku gave away a penalty with a handball which Nacer Chadli gratefully scored.

Then Salomon Rondon punished some awful defending to double the lead before James McClean made it three, turning in Nacer Chadli's shot.

Kartik Venkat: What a decline for @WestHamUtd. European contenders one season, relegation candidates the next?

Ian Shepherd: Has Bilic put a load of cash on himself being the 1st 1 sacked?....because West ham r making it easy atm 4 him 2 be sacked...

Diego the Alter Ego: Imagine money is going to be lumped on Bilic to be the next manager to lose his job. Strange goings on at West Ham

    James McClean

    Wow.

West Ham fail to deal with a corner, it drops to Nacer Chadli and his shot is diverted past Adrian by James McClean.

This is a half to forget for West Ham.

I'm hearing this is the first time West Brom have scored more than one goal for almost six months.

West Brom have hardly kicked the ball - and they're 2-0 up. It's an excellent finish.

Proof that statistics can mean very little in football.

With 24% possession in the first 37 minutes, West Brom find themselves 2-0 up.

    Rondon

Nacer Chadil plays in Salomon Rondon who swivels and fires in a rocket of shot past Adrian.

Good goal but the West Ham defence is not covering themselves in glory.

    West Brom 1-0 West Ham

West Ham are attacking more now and they have their first shot on target.

Dimitri Payet chips into the path of Michail Antonio who has just Ben Foster to beat but he shoots straight at the keeper.

    Better from the Hammers.

  16. Postpublished at 33 mins

    West Brom 1-0 West Ham

Dimitri Payet takes a quick free-kick and floats a cross in the box, it comes out to the edge of the area and Manuel Lanzini lets one fly but it is just wide.

All the West Ham attack of any note has been on the right and they have won three corners on that side.

Just seen Arthur Masuaku's hand ball again to give away the earlier penalty.

He actually runs with his hand up by his head. Bizarre.

Another West Ham corner. Dimitri Payet takes it and Michail Antonio gets his head on it but does not trouble the goal.

  20. Postpublished at 29 mins

    West Brom 1-0 West Ham

Free-kick to West Brom as Cheikhou Kouyate stops Matt Phillips.

He and James McClean are impressing for West Brom.

Jonny Evans floats one in, and James Collins out muscles Salomon Rondon. The ball comes back into the box, Adrian fumbles but gathers at the second attempt.
