    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

Another chance for Bournemouth as Harry Arter's left-footed strike goes just past the post.

Surely a goal's coming in this one...

  2. goal

    Adam Lallana (17 mins)

    This has been brewing.

Philippe Coutinho pulls the strings, dribbling into the box and luring Hull defenders towards him before finding the precise moments and path to play a pass into Adam Lallana.

Lallana sorts his feet out just in time to poke a bobbly finish into the corner before the cover can arrive.

That's his third Premier League goal of the season.

  3. 'Llorente smashed it'published at 15:17 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Swansea 1-1 Man City

    Danny Mills
Ex-Man City defender on Final Score

Swansea had a few chances before the goal. Sagna slips and City didn't deal with the situation defensively. But that takes nothing away from Fernando Llorente who has absolutely smashed it in.

    Liverpool 0-0 Hull

Liverpool have had all the ball at Anfield and should be ahead.

Philippe Coutinho may be able to stick the postage stamp from 30 yards, but he contrives to duff one from about a tenth of that distance, wasting a fine opening from Adam Lallana's cross.

    Sunderland 0-0 Crystal Palace

The first attempt on target in this one goes to Palace striker Christian Benteke, whose header forces Jordan Pickford into action. The former Liverpool man then volleys well wide.

The hosts have also been forced to make their first change, with Steven Pienaar limping off and replaced by Duncan Watmore.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

    Chances aplenty in this one.

Everton's top scorer Romelu Lukaku gets his head onto the end of Ross Barkley's free-kick but Artur Boruc pulls off a superb low save.

And at the other end, Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere's strike deflects off an Everton defender and hits the crossbar.

  7. goal

GOAL - Swansea 1-1 Man Citypublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Fernando Llorente (13 mins)

That is peak Bilbao-era Fernando Llorente.

The ball is flicked in the direction of the lanky Spaniard by Gylfi Sigurdsson and he bumps off Bacary Sagna, turns and lashes an unstoppable half-volley past Claudio Bravo from 15 yards.

City are complaining that Sagna was fouled, but it looked like he just got out-muscled.

I think Sergio Aguero does very well with the goal. He's on it as quick as a flash and finishes fantastically.

I think Middlesbrough goalkeeper Victor Valdes was caught a little bit by surprise with that from Son Heung-Min.

    Sergio Aguero (9 mins)

Too quick in thought and deed for Swansea.

Sergio Aguero shakes off any ring rust with a trademark bit of penalty-area poaching.

The Argentine spins in on goal from Bacary Sagna's pass, leaving a couple of Swansea defenders floundering and fires a crisp shot through Lukasz Fabianski's legs to beat the Swansea keeper at his near post.

    Stoke 0-0 West Brom

It's a blustery old day at Stoke and it's been a scrappy start for both teams.

West Brom work the ball down the left flank and Salomon Rondon, who has four goals in his last seven games, tries to curl an effort towards goal but it goes wide.

    Son Heung-min (7 mins)

A slickly put-together goal from the visitors.

Vincent Janssen holds his marker at bay, lays the ball into the path of Son Heung-min who bursts into a packed penalty area, picks his way past a huddle of defenders and buries a low shot past Victor Valdes.

    Hold your Swans.

The home fans are celebrating too early as the ball is buried into the back of the net form the edge of the box, but play has been halted by an earlier foul by Jack Cork.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Tottenham

Neat by Tottenham's Moussa Sissoko, who spins his man on the edge of the box, gets his head up, but clears Victor Valdes' bar with a crisp shot.

That was more the Euro 2016 version of Sissoko than the St James Park edition though.

  15. 'Koeman has sorted Everton's defence'published at 15:07

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

    Danny Mills
Ex-Man City defender on Final Score

Ronald Koeman has added an air of calm. He's also simplified things at the back and sorted that out. Ashley Williams is a great signing with all his experience. That was Roberto Martinez's major problem - at the back. You sort the defence out and all of a sudden the team start getting results.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

Callum Wilson with a very early chance for Bournemouth - his header goes just wide of the post after Charlie Daniels' ball-in from the left.

A lively start at the Vitality Stadium.

  17. Postpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Swansea 0-0 Man City

Manchester City are straight on the ball, trying to inflict death by a thousand passes.

Kevin de Bruyne mixes it up by hoicking a cross into the centre, but Sergio Aguero is never going to win a header in there.

  19. 'Liverpool attackers tough to handle'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Liverpool v Hull (15:00 BST)

    Danny Mills
Ex-Man City defender on Final Score

Liverpool are great going forward, with real high tempo play. You look at their front players they are awkward, dynamic and difficult to play against.

It's hard for defenders with players like Coutinho, Lallana and Firmino. They are attacking players that are tough to handle. As a defender you want to pick them up and get tight, but then because of their movement they are across the other side of the pitch.

Sunderland supporters are now accustomed to their side starting a new season in miserable form. They've not witnessed a league victory in either August or September since 2012!

Their sense of déjà vu is palpable; end a season strongly to survive, and then begin the next one poorly. The phrase 'eat, sleep, live, repeat', springs to mind.

David Moyes will be hoping to break this damaging habit in his sixth game in charge of the Black Cats, fully aware that their weekend visitors have recently hit form.

Seeking a third win a row for the first time in more than a year, Crystal Palace will be more expectant than hopeful, particularly having not lost a Premier League match at the Stadium of Light on any of their previous visits.
