Francesco Guidolin is favourite to be the first manager sacked this season. The board are said to be considering his future, and I think there's often no smoke without fire.

Guidolin admits in his programme notes that if his side continue to play like they have it will be hard for the Swans to win games this season. And their next few fixtures are not easy.

One change from their previous Premier League outings for both Bournemouth and Everton.

A Tottenham fan blog published an article this morning suggesting that Vincent Janssen is the new Roberto Soldado., external

    Harsh.

The 22-year-old arrived from the Netherlands in the summer with a fearsome scoring record at AZ Alkmaar, but has just one in seven so far for Spurs.

For every Ruud van Nistlerooy from the Eredivisie there has been an Alfonso Alves. Which camp is he going to fall into?

We may find out more this afternoon. He may fill in the striking role left vacant by Harry Kane's injury.

  14. Will Spurs cope without Kane?published at 13:59 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Middlesbrough v Tottenham (15:00 BST)

A win for Tottenham at Middlebrough today would give Spurs their best start to a top-flight season in 51 years.

They've secured three wins and two draws so far, but they're going to have to learn to cope without striker Harry Kane.

After 71 consecutive league matches, and a Euro campaign with England, Kane is facing a few weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Boro, sat 13th in the table, are looking to avoid a third straight defeat in the league.

    Oumph!

    Pick that one out.

Leicester have struck back at Old Trafford as substitute Demarai Gray wraps his left peg around a thumping shot from 25 yards and finds the corner.

Gray seemed to have been brought on to rest Jamie Vardy ahead of Tuesday's Champions League game against Porto, but he has given them just a glimmer.

United are sitting deep, but still have a three-goal cushion in the bag.

  17. Three in a row for Palace?published at 13:50 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

Sunderland v Crystal Palace (15:00 BST)

Having only managed two league wins from January to May, Crystal Palace have now secured back-to-back victories against Middlesbrough and Stoke.

They're now looking for their third in a row for the first time since April 2015.

Manager Alan Pardew said of their trip to struggling Sunderland: "We're going to go there and do the best possible job that we can, with a team that at the moment looks in good form."

Sunderland are still looking for their first win of the Premier League campaign. David Moyes' side have one point from a possible 15.

This match last season was probably the most thrilling game I commentated on throughout the campaign. This time round there is plenty of potential interest again, not least because of the Ross Barkley-Jack Wilshere factor.

At one time both players have been billed as the next big thing for England but they have stumbled along the way. Their performances this weekend will be of particular interest to Sam Allardyce.

Away from that storyline, the teams they represent have had contrasting fortunes this season. Everton are enjoying a great start under Ronald Koeman while Bournemouth might be starting to see what is meant by second-season syndrome.

  19. Koeman in controlpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Bournemouth v Everton (15:00 BST)

It's all going rather swimmingly for Ronald Koeman at Everton.

Since taking over in the summer, the Dutchman has won 13 points from his first five Premier League games - while previous manager Roberto Martinez won 12 points from his final 13 league games at the club.

Koeman's side travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth this afternoon, with the hope of keeping their unbeaten record against the Cherries.

Bournemouth have one draw and five defeats against the Toffees and have four points from their opening five matches of the season.

Bottom club Coventry, in their lowest league position since 1959, are at Gillingham and desperately need to improve on their miserable tally of three goals from eight league games so far this season.

Elsewhere leaders Scunthorpe host sixth-placed Sheffield United while second plays fourth with Bolton home to Bradford.

Northampton, who won three straight in the league before testing Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, host fourth-bottom Southend.
