Liverpool 0-0 Hull
A booking already as Tom Huddlestone is shown yellow for a high, late tackle on Jordan Henderson. Needs to be careful now, the Hull midfielder.
Liverpool 0-0 Hull
Brilliant play from James Milner, who is essentially playing as a wing-back he is so advanced, gets him to the byline but his cross is cut out. From the resulting corner, Joel Matip heads over. I say head, it was more of a shoulder.
Liverpool 0-0 Hull
No surprise about Hull's main attacking tactic. get the ball to Snoddy. Robert Snodgrass has scored in the last two league games and he tries to turn provider with a cross that is headed away from danger.
Liverpool 0-0 Hull
Liverpool on the ball, square balls from right to left across the back line. Some patient play forward gets the ball to Roberto Firmino but his attempted through-ball is blocked.

Ex-Man City defender on Final Score
Liverpool are great going forward, with real high tempo play. You look at their front players they are awkward, dynamic and difficult to play against.
It's hard for defenders with players like Coutinho, Lallana and Firmino. They are attacking players that are tough to handle. As a defender you want to pick them up and get tight, but then because of their movement they are across the other side of the pitch.

Big handshake and a big hug between a beaming Jurgen Klopp and Mike Phelan. If Jared Leto doesn't fancy being the Joker anymore, I reckon Klopp would do a fine job in the role.
Oh, and the game is under way.
Jordan Henderson does his duty with a few encouraging words for the mascots before the teams make their way out on to the pitch. There is a bit of a breeze at Anfield, keeping the numerous flags in the Kop interested.

MOTD commentator at Anfield
While Manchester City's 100% success record so far is rightly attracting attention, it's the sheer excitement generated by Liverpool's football, that aberration at Burnley aside, that's drawing envious eyes from everywhere.
The first-half display at Chelsea set the standard that Jurgen Klopp wants to see repeated against all opponents, no matter the competition. If it is, then the top four is certainly achievable. Who knows...the title itself?
Hull have had a reasonable start but they were thrashed at home by Arsenal last Saturday and no firm contract yet for Mike Phelan creates uncertainty.

Hull may not have enjoyed a victory here at Anfield against Liverpool but that is not to say all stats are against them.
The Tigers earned four points against Liverpool in their last season in the Premier League (2014-15), keeping clean sheets in both matches and are yet to lose an away game in all competitions this season.
So, you know, there's that.

Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score
Liverpool are very exciting, especially away from home, and looked great against Arsenal. But I worry about their fragile defence, though when they attack as a team they are very impressive. They defend as a pack and attack as a pack.

Bit of word-play with Sadio Mane's name there for ya.
Liverpool v Hull (15:00 BST)
Hull head to Merseyside with managerial matters to resolve. Mike Phelan has been their caretaker boss this season and has done a pretty fine job so far, winning four of his seven games in charge in all competitions.
Last week, the former Man Utd assistant boss claimed he had been offered the City gig on a full-time basis but at the time of writing is still awaiting a contract or confirmation from the club's hierarchy.
It is actually Phelan's 54th birthday today. Go on Hull, give him a nice present.

OK, so a few clubs might have something to say about a potential Liverpool title success this season - especially Manchester City. However, Burnley aside, the Reds have barely put a foot wrong this campaign - they are winning games, scoring goals and getting jiggy with the gegenpressing.
Today, they host promoted side Hull, who have never beaten Liverpool at Anfield.
