  • Aguero returns after three-game ban

  • Man City unbeaten so far under Guardiola

    Swansea 1-1 Manchester City

Swansea have Jordi Amat to thank for this still being 1-1. David Silva, on the left corner of the penalty area, feeds in a chance for Sergio Aguero, who takes a touch to prepare for a shot at goal.

Luckily for the hosts an excellent sliding challenge from Amat sends the ball away for a corner, which the visitors waste. Both sides are creating chances and this one is definitely worth a watch on Match of the Day later on.

    Swansea 1-1 Manchester City.

Almost sensational. Almost. Wayne Routledge, who has looked lively throughout, digs out a cross to the back post and Gylfi Sigurdsson goes for the sensational with a first-time left-footed volley.

He is not far off either. It would have been a wonderful goal, but it was not to be for the hosts as it is narrowly off target. A fine move though between two of the best players on the pitch today.

    Swansea 1-1 Manchester City

Almost an embarrassing moment for Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

He tries to play out from the back but takes too much time and, under pressure, has to boot the ball, as if he is playing for position in rugby, straight into touch.

A lucky let-off for the keeper.

'What a waste of money' taunt the home fans in the direction of Manchester City defender John Stones after the centre-half, a £47.5m summer signing from Everton, gets a diving header wrong and sends it well wide of the Swansea goal.

A lovely link up between Wayne Routledge and Gylfi Sigurdsson sees the former unmarked 15 yards from Manchester City goal.

He opts for the unselfish option and tries to slide a chance into Fernando Llorente but Routledge gets the final ball wrong, with an overhit pass that is too far ahead of the Spaniard and a glorious chance for an early goal in this second half is wasted

Francesco Guidolin's future as Swansea head coach appeared to be uncertain ahead of this game, with another poor performance potentially signalling the end of the Italian's reign.

But his players seem to be battling for their boss after a spirited first-half display against Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's men are playing well below their best, but their opponents may be about to secure Guidolin's future - for now.

It has been a good first half at the Liberty. I wouldn't be surprised if we do not end with 22 players on the pitch.

Sergio Aguero, back in the side after his domestic ban, put Manchester City ahead before Llorente levelled it up. Manchester City's lead was brief but it is good stuff and it is 1-1.

Almost a good move from the training ground.

Kevin De Bruyne's free-kick is floated deep to the back post where Nicolas Otamendi, who had peeled away from his marker, heads it down into the danger area, but a combination of first Mike van der Hoorn and then Lukasz Fabianski gets the ball clear and over the bar.

The following corner comes to nothing.

Manchester City look absolutely wonderful going forward but are missing that killer pass. But defensively they look surprisingly weak. This is a great game.

He didn't score in his first six games for the club, but Fernando Llorente could well have scored twice in this first half.

He got one earlier on and now sends a header off target from Kyle Naughton's delivery.

John Stones gets a knee in the belly as he is caught by Swansea's Wayne Routledge, although the home player's eyes were on the ball as the pair clashed.

Manchester City's Fernandinho is not happy that Routledge avoids a card, and the midfielder only succeeds into talking himself into the book for dissent. A needless yellow card that one.

De Bruyne was 13 yards out but his shot flew well wide of the Swansea goal. You do wonder whether Manchester City will be made to pay for this missed chances and fluffed opportunities. As for Swansea, well they're hanging on.

  18. CLOSE!published at 35 mins

    Swansea 1-1 Manchester City

A good game this one. Just moments after Mike van der Hoorn's header was close at one end, Kevin de Bruyne has a chance at the other.

But he drags his shot wide when he should have hit the target. We stay at 1-1.

  19. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Swansea 1-1 Manchester City

So close to a goal on his Premier League debut for Swansea centre-half Mike van der Hoorn as he gets above his marker to loop a header at goal.

But the radar is wonky and the effort goes just wide. A good chance though.

  20. YELLOW CARD - Bacary Sagna (Man City)published at 15:33 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Swansea 1-1 Manchester City

Manchester City full-back Bacary Sagna is in the book. There did not seem to be much in it as he collided with Kyle Naughton, but the visiting defender will need to be careful from now on.
