Leicester make two changes at half-time. Summer signing Ahmed Musa and Demarai Gray, both attacking players, come on. Shinji Okazaki and Marc Albrighton are off.
No changes for Manchester United.
Still no sign of any of the players. Come on guys, we've all got homes to get to.

We had those jets of flame before kick-off, but other than Jesse Lingard's solo goal this game has not caught fire yet. Manchester United have controlled possession without ever doing much with it, and Leicester have sat back and only threatened fleetingly.
With the season starting next weekend I get the feeling we will see a lot of substitutions after the break - six apiece are permitted - and that is hardly going to help the rhythm of the game either, although it will be good to see how some of the Foxes' summer signings fit in.
This isn't the only game happening right now, Aston Villa are playing Sheffield Wednesday on their return to the Championship and it's 0-0. Live text on that game here.

Jeff Gurr: Leicester need to get Simpson off the pitch. He is a red card waiting to happen
Princewill Nwosu: Leicester struggling without Kante. Nobody covering that midfield like Kante did last season.
El Mafrex: Rooney has been anonymous today. Losing possession and so many misplaced passes.
Not a bad way for Jesse Lingard to impress his new manager...

Peter Malath: Jesssssi Lingarddddds. What a solo run goal! This kid is loving scoring at Wembley. Not a bad place to do so.
Helen Verlander: All these great armchair managers slating Fellaini, give the guy a break it's the start of the new season.
At and I: Eric Bailly looks so assured. Composed. Perfect Vidic replacement? Maybe

It is a meaningless friendly but Manchester United have a new identity under Jose Mourinho. We all know Zlatan Ibrahimovic drifts in and out of games and is in the twilight of his career but he is a winner. He could have gone to China or the United States but he still has a point to prove.

It's half-time at Wembley and Jose Mourinho's Manchester United lead.

Leicester winger Marc Albrighton wants a corner after a Zlatan Ibrahimovic tackle but referee says no. We're into one minute of stoppage time.

Leicester defender Danny Simpson sticks out a high leg to bring Wayne Rooney down as the England striker went past him. He's the first man booked - although yellow cards in the Community Shield don't count towards suspensions.

I think Leicester will struggle without N'Golo Kante. I know they have brought in Nampalys Mendy but he is not quite as good as Kante. Leicester have brought in some players but they have stood still in comparison to Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea, who have all strengthened their starting line-ups.
Leicester 0-1 Man Utd
United almost had another chance after the goal with Robert Huth denying Wayne Rooney. However Leicester nearly level as Andy King heads wide from a corner.

The United fans are at the other end of the stadium to where Jesse Lingard just ran straight through the Leicester defence, so very few of them will know yet exactly how good a solo goal that was. They are all on their feet now, though, singing Jose Mourinho’s name again. Lots of them are wearing those free scarves that were left out for them earlier too.

The last Manchester United player to score in an FA Cup final and the subsequent Community/Charity Shield was Eric Cantona in 1996.

That's a fabulous goal by Jesse Lingard. He went past one, sucked in Wes Morgan and then managed to get himself one on one with Kasper Schmeichel and rolled it in. It's probably United's first real chance. A great dribble by Lingard.
We'll bring you a clip of the goal soon, but in the meantime here's Leicester's best effort of the game so far, Shinji Okazaki hitting the woodwork.
Leicester 0-1 Man Utd
I maybe didn't give Jesse Lingard enough credit for his goal, it was some nice skill to break through and take on a few players. I stand by my comments about Leicester's defending, mind, but he still had to dribble 40 yards to score.

Jesse Lingard is talented, quick. He has all the attributes you need to be a Premier League player. If he can keep scoring goals, especially on the big stage like he is, then he can be a Manchester United regular.
