Jesse Lingard, scorer of the final goal of the Louis van Gaal era, registers the first of Jose Mourinho's reign.

The Leicester defence seems to open up in front of the FA Cup final goalscorer, who skips past a few half challenges and then slots home. Kasper Schmeichel gets something on the shot but can't keep it out.

A break in play while Danny Drinkwater does up the tape on his socks. A good way to shoehorn in this stat; he has played 17 passes in the opposition half; five more than any other player.

BBC Sport pundit Danny Murphy says Manchester United don't look any different than they did last season under Louis van Gaal. He's right too, Leicester are on top.

Although Opta have taken the shine off that brief bit of Fellaini positivity with this stat...

No player has lost possession more times than Fellaini in the opening 25 minutes (nine).

I don't want to sound like your dad here, but Luke Shaw wearing number 23, with centre-back Eric Bailly having number three on his back? Not for me, guys.

Shinji Okazaki got in front of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michael Carrick. It's a little bit of a worry for Manchester United who have started quite strong, but Leicester are doing what they do best.

Manchester United have had 69% of possession so far, but that statistic is not exactly going to scare Leicester fans. Their side only saw more of the ball in five of their 38 Premier League games last season, and it did not hold them back very much did it?

And from the corner, Leicester almost lead. Marc Albrighton's corner finds the head of Shinji Okazaki and his effort comes back off the crossbar. Lucky escape for Manchester United.

Leicester City definitely not changing their tactics from those which stunned the world last season. A lot of sitting back but then breaking at pace. Jamie Vardy finds Shinji Okazaki, whose shot is touched around the post by David de Gea.

Marouane Fellaini almost catches Kasper Schmeichel out with a shot on the turn after Zlatan Ibrahimovic knocks the ball down to him (after winning an aerial challenge with Wes Morgan) but the Dane saves it. He only parries it but gathers the ball before Jesse Lingard can turn it home.

All very low-key so far from Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, who has spent about 30 seconds in his seat.

For the rest of the time he has been patrolling the edge of his technical area, hands firmly planted in pockets, occasionally muttering something to the linesman or whichever player is nearest to him.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has done the same, but in much more animated fashion. He is also struggling with the bright sunshine which is only in his side’s half of the pitch.

The Community Shield is not massively important in terms of how you'll do in the season. But to get a trophy in the cabinet a week before the season starts, it adds a bit of confidence. It had a positive impact on the lads when I won it with Liverpool.

Manchester United have their second effort of the season now as Wayne Rooney's header from the edge of the box is easily held by Kasper Schmeichel. Ambitious.

The Champions League is a new adventure for Leicester. it will be very different for a lot of these players.

Playing in a lot of competitions can be difficult. i don't think they'll struggle but I don't think they'll challenge for the title.

Can they keep all their players while the window is open? We'll have to wait and see.
