    Slovakia 3-0 Scotland

    Rob Maclean
    BBC Scotland

Obviously Scotland's dodgy defending grabs your attention. But what about our attacking? Actually, we're only 8-5 down on attempts on target. Sadly, none of ours were ever going in. Three of theirs have.

Leigh Griffiths continues to look lively and he's almost on to a slack pass-back but the big goalie Matus Kozacik is off his marks swiftly to block at the striker's feet.

    Slovakia 3-0 Scotland

Ikechi Anya does well to dip a shoulder and beat his man in the box. His drilled delivery flashes across the face of goal, with Barry Bannan only able to prod an awkward shot at the keeper from the back stick area.

    Slovakia 3-0 Scotland

Leigh Griffiths has another lash - a rare dig with his right foot - forcing the keeper to push it behind for a corner.

    Fedor Cernych

Lithuania are poised to go above Scotland in Group F after going in front against Malta, Fedor Cernych - who netted at Hampden on Saturday - getting the opener.

John McGinn slides a nicely weighted pass through for Leigh Griffiths to scurry after and the striker drags a decent first-time effort narrowly wide of the far post.

The problem with Scotland wearing pink shirts is that they tend to stand out when you're looking at defenders not doing their jobs.

  15. Another Scotland changepublished at 75 mins

    Slovakia 3-0 Scotland

There's nothing happening for Scotland at all. No pace, no energy, no fight.

Steven Fletcher trots off to be replaced by Hibs midfielder John McGinn. That looks like damage limitation.

  17. Familiar failingspublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 11 October 2016

    Slovakia 3-0 Scotland

    Richard Wilson
    BBC Scotland in Trnava

The Scottish contingent inside the City Arena - players and fans - were already deflated even before Slovakia's third goal. The visitors were still working gamely, and the introduction of Leigh Griffiths and Ikechi Anya ought to have injected a sense of urgency into their play.

The team is forlorn, though, and defensive vulnerability has undermined the spirited performance in the first-half. Damage limitation might be wise now, since the game is lost and a more galling defeat would be more damaging to morale.

Scotland can only dwell on their failings just now, though, all of which are wearily familiar.

    Slovakia 3-0 Scotland

Slovakia's third goal is the worst of the lot for Scotland. Grant Hanley didn't attack the ball at all six yards out and Adam Nemec found himself with an unchallenged header to add to the misery.

Good night Trnava! Robert Mak swings in a corner from the left and Adam Nemec rises above a flailing Grant Hanley to nod in. Easy as you like.
