    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

    Rob Maclean
    BBC Scotland

Another Mak attack. Cut inside onto his right foot too easily. A great save by David Marshall. And, from the corner, another more straightforward stop from Durica's effort. Slovakia have done much more in front of goal despite Scotland having the bulk of possession.

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland are living dangerously and have David Marshall to thank again as the ball drops to Jan Durica from a corner and the Slovakia defender's firm shot is blocked by the Hull City keeper.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Robert Mak cuts in from the left and, full of confidence after his opening goal, speeds away from Callum Paterson to take aim for the far top corner. David Marshall is at full stretch to claw it away.

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland probing for an opening but not making any significant ground. Suddenly, Robert Snodgrass gets in behind the home defence but the goalkeeper is able to bat his cross from the left away.

As it was on Saturday, left back is Scotland's strongest position. Andy Robertson on Saturday and 19-year-old Kieran Tierney tonight.

Left-back Kieran Tierney is full of running and gets forward to have a lash at goal. His effort from 20 yards skids wide.

  13. 'Encouraging signs for Scotland'published at 20:15 British Summer Time 11 October 2016

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

    Richard Wilson
    BBC Scotland in Trnava

Losing the opening goal has been a setback for Scotland, not least because they had begin the game impressively. It is noticeable that when Slovakia are in possession, Scotland both drop deep to get everyone behind the ball but also begin pressing from the front through Steven Fletcher.

Gordon Strachan's side has been confident and deft in possession. There has not been a clear chance yet, but Scotland have been able to work the ball into dangerous positions because of the running of Tierney, Paterson, Snodgrass and Ritchie, and the passing interchanges those movements create. The scoreline is a concern, but the balance of play is still encouraging for Scotland.

  14. Goalless elsewhere in Group Fpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 11 October 2016

It's goalless so far in tonight's other Group F fixtures between Slovenia and England (pictured below) and Lithuania and Malta.

England have had the better possession so far in Slovenia but the hosts have had more efforts at goal while there have been few chances in Lithuania.

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

    Rob Maclean

The debate about the free kick at the other end is immaterial when it's not given. Scotland have to deal better with the counter attack. Marek Hamsik unmarked at the far post, David Marshall palmed the header out in front, plenty of defenders unemployed and Robert Mak lashed the loose ball into the roof of the net. Nightmare.

A Mak scoring against Scotland. You couldn't make it up. Actually, you probably could.

    Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

A good opening for Scotland as Robert Snodgrass advances from the left but his shot from a tight angle is stopped comfortably by the keeper at his near post.

GOAL Slovakia 1-0 Scotlandpublished at 18 mins

    Robert Mak

Oh dear. Scotland are not happy. A clear foul on Steven Fletcher goes unpunished and seconds later Slovakia are ahead.

A cross to the back post is met by Marek Hamsik, goalkeeper David Marshall can only push it into a busy area of the box and Robert Mak lashes it home.

Fletcher was wiped out deep in the Slovakia half and Marshall should really be doing better...

    Slovakia 0-0 Scotland

Scotland keeper David Marshall has to get down to push away a very ambitious long-range effort from veteran defender Jan Durica. It bounced awkwardly but was never going to beat the big goalie.

Very similar to the set up at BBC Scotland HQ. We're on the whiskies though...
