Teams often struggle to make new stadiums imposing straight away. It can take a few years.

So how will West Ham fans get on at the Olympic Stadium next week? We shall see. I'm hugely looking forward to it but I worry.

Over in Scotland, Jonny Hayes scored an equaliser two minutes from time for Aberdeen as the Scottish Premiership side salvaged a first leg draw against Maribor.

A decent night for Slovenian sides in the Europa League tonight.

West Ham captain Mark Noble: " We lost 2-1 and don't think it was a penalty for them. We have to get on with it and we lost the game.

"The second leg is something to look forward to but we have to go there positively. It will be out first game at Olympic Stadium and the fans will be behind us.

"You are going to miss a player like Dimitri Payet but that is no excuse. We had a good enough team to win here but we did not do that. We better play well next Thursday,.

NK Domzale could have further extended their lead, they were deserved winners. They looked fitter than West Ham, as you'd expect. They are further into their season.

West Ham didn't create anything in the second half. They can recover and I'd expect them to be much improved next week. 

Did West Ham over achieve last season? Do their fans want the group games in the Europa League? I'm not so sure.

NK Domzale 2-1 West Ham

BBC Radio London reporting a fan ran onto the pitch at full-time, straight to West Ham striker Andy Carroll asking for his shirt.

Carroll ignored him.

Harsh from the Englishman, who does he think he is, Cristiano Ronaldo??

That's the final whistle, what a result for minnows NK Domzale, who have beaten Premier League side West Ham.

Probably the biggest result in the Slovenian side's history and they are placed well going into the second leg on 4 August.

The NK Domzale cheerleaders are enjoying this one, applauding their team from the side of the pitch.

Can the home side hang on for a famous victory?

Man-of-the-match and double goalscorer Matic Crnic is getting a standing ovation as he makes his way off the pitch.

Juninho, number eight on the back of his shirt, comes on.

Oh Adrian, you've just kept your team in this time with a stunning double save.

Sniffing a hat-trick, Matic Crnic attempts a curler from the edge of the area which the Spanish goalkeeper brilliantly tips away.

Substitute Jan Repas on the follow can tuck the ball in either side of Adrian, but the goalkeeper stretches out his right foot to push the ball wide.

A real let-off for Slaven Bilic's men.

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian rushes off his line, almost 35-yards out, to clear a long punt forward with forward Antonio Mance closing in.

The Hammers back line have not had a good game and plenty of work for them to do before the start of the Premier League season in two weeks' time.

Amedej Vetrih on for NK Domzale, Zan Majer off. A like-for-like change in midfield.

The home side cannot make anything of the corner. Can they get a third? Six minutes to find it.

Marko Alvir plays a lovely through ball to his team-mate, but Crnic's shot deflects off captain Mark Noble and away for a corner.

Michail Antonio, who has had a shocker today, comes off while 16-year-old Domingos Quina comes on.

Can the youngster make the difference?

On the edge of his own area, West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang makes a well-timed tackle on the dangerous Matic Crnic which starts a counter-attack. 

The Hammers move the ball forward quickly, but the reliable Sofiane Feghouli's cross is wayward this time, giving Andy Carroll no chance at the back post.

Disappointing.

Fresh legs for West Ham to worry about.

Lovely. Zan Majer will a sublime touch in the middle of the park to get away from Mark Noble before advancing towards the West Ham penalty area.

He lets fly with an effort that's heading for the roof of the net, but Adrian in this orange kit leaps up to tip the ball away. 

West Ham defenders scrambling this way and that to clear the ball from a NK Domzale corner. They're clinging on by their fingertips.

The way the second half has gone, Slaven Bilic will take a 2-1 defeat back to London and their debut at the Olympic Stadium.
