The coach was encouraging Jure Balkovec to go further down the line but he knew what he was doing, a wicked cross delivered into the area. That was a superb cross! West Ham should be behind.

Loving Sofiane Feghouli's delivery, the shape and the accuracy is on point.

He chips one in to the back post towards Andy Carroll, but the NK Domzale defence do well to clear the ball.

From the corner, the ball falls to Carroll, but his right-footed shot is poor and Axel Maraval can gather.

Should be two for NK Domzale.

Left-back Jure Balkovec curls in a stunning cross from the left which finds Marko Alvir unmarked in the box, but his free header from around eight yards out is off target.

Alvir hangs his head and so he should, they won't get many better chances than that in this match.

That said, West Ham are all over the place at the back and a side with more quality would have punished them.

West Ham's first corner is drifted in to the edge of the area by Sofiane Feghouli.

It reaches Pedro Obiang in the Paul Scholes zone, but his first shot is scuffed and second is strangled wide.

NK Domzale goalkeeper Axel Maraval hasn't really had much work to do, apart from conceding a penalty and then picking the ball out of the net.

Tell you what, when NK Domzale do get forward, they're getting plenty of spaces in the final third.

Goalscorer Matic Crnic looks a decent little player, drilling a low cross-shot across the area which goes narrowly wide of Adrian's left-hand post.

Warning signs for the Hammers to stay awake or they will get punished.

NK Domzale have not seen the West Ham penalty area since the goal, over 15 minutes ago.

They make a rare foray forward but full-back Alvaro Brachi's cross is poor and sails out of play.

Did he mention in his LinkedIn bio that he's not very good at crossing a ball? I doubt it.

By the way, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is not on the bench this evening as he is serving the second of a two-match Uefa ban for a crime committed in the Europa League qualifiers last year.

A shaky start from his side, but he'll be happy with how it's going so far. An away goal to take back to London next week.

Looking forward to seeing West Ham winger Sofiane Feghouli in action this season, a tricky character, he could well be this season's Dimitri Payet.

He has caused a few problems for NK Domzale on the right so far.

The Algerian international whips in a superb cross into the opposition box, but no West Ham player can get on the end of it and the ball drifts out of play.

Former West Ham manager Sam Allardyce, now in charge of the national side, will bring England to this stadium in October to face Slovenia in a World Cup qualifier.

He has been ignored by England managers all his career, but will Hammers skipper Mark Noble finally get a call-up to the Three Lions side from Big Sam?

I spoke to Noble about it a couple of years ago and he said he had given up hope. Time to revise his opinion...?

An excellent response from West Ham, it was a clear penalty and exactly what the Hammers needed. 

This referee likes to point to the spot.

NK Domzale goalkeeper Axel Maraval comes charging off his line and cleans out West Ham defender Winston Reid, who got to the ball first.

A challenge more suited to WWE.

So, what have West Ham got? You would expect them to get back into this match with the resources they have in the starting XI.

This time they go direct, as Michail Antonio launches a Rory Delap-esque throw into the box but goalkeeper Axel Maraval can gather.

West Ham were caught out in midfield, it was too easy. It was an innocuous handball really.

You can see the celebrations, all the Domzale subs are out of the technical area. An excellent penalty. 

NK Domzale head up field on their first attack and earn a penalty as Havard Nordtveit is adjudged to have handled the ball.

Extremely harsh decision, for which he gets a yellow card.

Sofiane Feghouli whips in the ball to the back post towards the towering Andy Carroll, who nods it back across the box into the path of another debutant Havard Nordtveit, whose weak header is punched away by goalkeeper Axel Maraval.

Catch it son. NK Domzale manage to escape from their first piece of defending unscathed.
