  1. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Wales 1-0 Moldova

Wales, if only for a few minutes, had started to lift the tempo just before that goal and Andy King's pass in ti Chris Gunter just lifted the crowd a notch.

You sense they'd fancy another 10 minutes or so being tacked onto the end of this half to keep the momentum going.

  2. 'Great ball from Bale'published at 20:26 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

    Wales 1-0 Moldova

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

    Wales get the breakthrough!

It was a great ball in from Gareth Bale, he picked out Sam Vokes superbly.

Moldova have to come out now and that will leave gaps for Wales to expose.

  3. Israel back in itpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

    Israel 1-2 Italy

What a peach of a goal from Israel's Ben Haim, who chips Gianluigi Buffon from the edge of the area.

    Sam Vokes

Easy peasy. Simple as you like,

Gareth Bale has the ball on the right touchline and he just shifts it out from under his feet, on to his left foot, and arcs a cross immaculately on to the head of Sam Vokes - who plants it into the net.

Better this from Andy King, who slips a tasty, tasty ball into the right channel of the area for Chris Gunter to get on to, but his drive across goal is blocked.

  6. Costa cuts itpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

Diego Costa scored for Spain earlier, who lead 1-0 against Liechtenstein.

  7. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

Moldova might not be afraid to bring down a Welshman when the mood takes them - but it's working.

Wales have not settled into a rhythm and you wouldn't be able to put your finger on what their plan is tonight.

Sometimes crossfield balls, sometimes trying to work it to the edge of the area. Most the time just getting fouled.

Gareth Bale decides to try and do it all by himself and drives with the ball down the right flank, but takes it out for a goal kick.

  8. Italy double leadpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

    Israel 0-2 Italy

Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva has doubled Italy's lead against Israel, scoring from the spot.

  9. 'Moldova trying to spoil the game with fouls'published at 20:18 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

There is one team trying to win it and one trying to spoil the game with fouls.

Wales do not look too comfortable in the system. I wonder if Chris Coleman will try and change it at half-time and maybe bring on Hal Robson Kanu.

Moldova look comfortable at 0-0 at the moment.

Boom. Take that Gareth Bale. The Wales forward puts the ball through the legs of Aleksandru Gatcan, who just ignores the ball and carries his momentum through the Real Madrid man.

Bale takes the free-kick from the right side and the ball swings over everyone and almost drops in at the far post - just wide though.

  11. Serbia 0-1 Republic of Irelandpublished at 30 mins

The Irish are starting to live a little dangerously as keeper Darren Randolph flaps at a free-kick before the ball is cleared.

The West Ham man atones moments later as he has to reach to beat away a Kostic shot.

The Republic are struggling to get hold of the ball at the moment. Goalscorer Hendrick's yapping has got him a yellow card after full-back Stephen Ward was harshly cautioned earlier for a legitimate looking tackle on Antonio Rukavina.

  12. 'Wales sloppy in possession'published at 20:15 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Wales have to get their passing game going.

We have been sloppy in possession and Moldova will be picking up on that.

Chris Coleman will be annoyed by that.

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

Not surprisingly, Wales' players are more advanced than their opponents so far, but they haven't really created very much.

Our reporter Dafydd Pritchard mentioned the Wales fans singing Joe Allen's name to the tune of Eddie Grant's Gimme Hope Joanna - and they're giving it a cracking rendition right now.

    Great tune that, splendid.

  15. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

Moldova are ticking off the fouls in all areas of the pitch. This is probably the worst of the bunch as Artur Ionita is late on Joe Allen in the middle of the park.

Graziano Pellè has put Italy in front against Israel in Haifa. Pellè met Luca Antonelli cross to score from close range.

Pellè, who is Italy’s highest ever paid player after joining Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng in the summer, has scored four of Italy's last seven goal.

  17. 'Wales need to play to Vokes' strengths'published at 20:10 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

The goalkeepers always get more protection than strikers these days.

Wales are doing the right thing though because if you have a guy like Sam Vokes up front then you need to get crosses in.

    Wales 0-0 Moldova

Moldova keeper Ilie Cebanu is having some treatment to his head after that collision with Sam Vokes.

They're patching up the area near his right eye - a nice big white plaster across the face. It doesn't look like there's any cartoon characters on it, unfortunately.

    Cebanu, meet big Sam Vokes.

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Wales' fans gained a reputation for being creative with their chants during Euro 2016 and the preceding qualifying campaign.

Whether it is Joe Ledley (to the tune of Chaka Khan's 'Ain't Nobody), Joe Allen (Eddie Grant's 'Gimme Me Hope Joanna') or Hal Robson-Kanu (Salt'N'Pepa's 'Push It'), most of the Wales squad have been immortalised in song.

Now Chris Gunter has his own, with supporters singing his name to the Ghostbusters theme played by the trumpets of fans' band The Barry Horns.

  20. Kosovo's historic nightpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 5 September 2016

It is an historic night for Kosovo in Turku tonight as they face Finland in their first ever competitive match.

It is not going quite to script though as they trail to Paulus Arajuuri's early goal.
