Borussia wanted a 18:00 kick-off but City didn't have the stewards available at that time to facilitate the request.
They have offered Borussia the chance to stay at the City Football Academy this evening but are not sure whether they will make their own arrangements.
Fans will be able to use their tickets for tonight's game to get into the stadium tomorrow.
So add City to your schedule for tomorrow night boys and girls.
Leicester's debut in the competition, Spurs at Wembley and now a re-arranged game too.

Why would anyone play for an SPL club when you can sit on the bench in the EPL for double the wages? That's the problem
Matt. Darlington
Do you think Uefa might want to tell the fans what time the match is on tomorrow so they can try and make arrangements?!

Newcastle and Barnsley have closed the gap on leaders Huddersfield to one point. The Terriers suffered their first league loss of the season with a 1-0 defeat at Brighton.
The Magpies had 29 efforts on goal in their 6-0 thumping of QPR at Loftus Road. That was the Hoops' biggest ever home league defeat.
The Tykes also recorded an impressive away win as they netted four times in the closing stages of their 4-0 win at Wolves.
Norwich are up to fourth with a 2-1 win over Wigan.
Kyle Bartley's 86th minute effort gave Leeds a 2-1 win over basement side Blackburn.
Sheffield Wednesday's Sam Hutchinson and Bristol City's Gary O'Neil were sent in a match which was decided by Kieran Lee's injury-time strike for the Owls to give them a 3-2 win.
Fulham remain in sixth as they drew 2-2 against Burton and Preston recorded a 3-0 win against Welsh side Cardiff.

We are still to hear when the Manchester City game will be played. We expect the news to be that the match will be held on Wednesday evening.
PSG 1-1 Arsenal
Henry Winter, chief football reporter at The Times, on BBC Radio 5 live: "For a £55m striker, what do you get thesedays? Cavani had four good chances. With Zlatan having left he has to seize the chance he has.
"When he scored you thought this would be a very difficult night for Arsenal but they stuck at it. Maybe it was overshadowed as Giroud got himself off stupidly. It's totally mindless. I still think he is their first choice when fully fit. Wenger claims he is easing him back in but Giroud gives them something the others doesn't. He's not a top of the range striker but neither is Cavani on this evidence."
PSG 1-1 Arsenal
Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny: "I think it's a good point but we came here with our ambition and we wanted to have the three points, but when we start like this it's difficult to play.
"Maybe in the final third we didn't find the good ball to score, but we came back. During the game against Southampton in the Premier League we slept and we need to change this in the future. We need to be strong from the first minute to the end.
"During the game we were pretty well but if you start like this it's difficult. Sanchez played well. We found him between the lines. Both teams tried to play nice football tonight. It was a good game."

Overall Arsenal thoughts. Giroud should never have been sent off, Mustafi looks quality, Ospina was actually very good in the end, we should have lost by 4/5 goals, Xhaka must start from now on and Sanchez is better on the left.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers: "We put a huge effort into the weekend and got a fantastic victory [against Rangers] and it was always going to be tough to play the best team in the world. In the first half we had a critical moment in the game with the penalty and if you score that it makes it a bit nervy here, after they lost at the weekend.
"But second half we ran out of legs, the game at the weekend added to their immense quality made it very difficult. The scoreline at the end is bitterly disappointing. There are lots of things to learn for our players."
A cracking point for Besiktas in Portugal as Anderson Talisca (above) bends a stunner of a free-kick over the wall and into the Benfica net in the 94th minute, 1-1.
Juan Bernat rounded off a comfortable 5-0 Bayern Munich win over Rostov by sweeping in from a Franck Ribery pass.
Arkadiusz Milik is filling the boots of Gonzalo Higuain nicely as his first-half double turned the tide for Napoli to beat Dynamo Kyiv 2-1 away.
Atletico Madrid did what Diego Simeone sides do. They scored, they dug in and they won 1-0. PSV will rue that first-half penalty miss.
Barcelona 7-0 Celtic (SEVEN)
Celtic striker Moussa Dembele: "It was a disappointing night to lose against the best team in the world. But we let them play too much. Next time we won't make the same mistakes.
"You can learn a lot playing against the best in the world. Sometimes you score, sometimes you miss penalties."

I don't really know how critical you can be of Celtic tonight. A totally different level.

Well played Barca. But let's be honest and acknowledge that tonight is a true indicator of the quality of Scottish Football.
John
If you were playing as Barca on FIFA, your console would suggest upping the hardness level from amateur.
Baz, Manchester
I know Barca are a fantastic team but there's no excuses for downright rubbish defending. I could find chaps in a park who would get closer to their men than this Celtic rabble.

Cavani should have had four. At this level of football you expect him to put some of them in. But no matter how bad you play, you will always get a chance. Sanchez buried it. Fair play to Arsenal, they stuck at it.
