Well, it has been quite an afternoon. Rangers began the day's action with a 2-1 win over Dundee at Dens Park, and that was followed by away wins for St Johnstone, Ross County and Kilmarnock. At Pittodrie, the Dons and Hearts drew a blank. In the Championship, Falkirk salvaged a point away to Morton, while Dumbarton beat Dundee United, Hibs edged out Dunfermline, and Queen of the South and Raith Rovers enjoyed home wins over Ayr and St Mirren respectively. Thanks very much for joining BBC Scotland's coverage this afternoon.

Hibs head coach Neil Lennon: "We made the changes and the two subs came up and created the winning goal. We have to learn to be better. That's the psychology of the game - if you are going to win things you have to ride out tough moments. Grant Holt is probably trying too hard. That's three games in a week he's had to play and he's contributing just fine. Dunfermline are a good side. They romped the league last year and they've got a good manager. They are going to give teams a lot of problems. I really enjoyed the crowd today. Thankfully we've sent them home very happy. For Hibs to get 16,000 in here, magic!"

  6. County survive kitchen sink onslaughtpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Inverness CT 2-3 Ross County

    Barry Wilson

"Inverness threw the kitchen sink at the end but County held on. (Kevin) McNaughton was Inverness's main centre-half and with him being out they need to go and get someone in in that position."

  7. 'Finer points were missing'published at 17:12 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Aberdeen 0-0 Hearts

BBC Scotland football pundit Willie Miller: "Both sides gave it everything. I have no problem with physicality as long as it is legal, but the finer points were missing today."

  8. 'A tough point'published at 17:09 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Aberdeen 0-0 Hearts

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson: "It was a tough point for both teams. It was an entertaining game. I thought John Souttar was magnificent today. He was up against two of the most physical players in the league in Rooney and Stockley and handled it well. It's been a tough start for us, playing the champions, the team that finished fourth then the team that finished second. Perry Kitchen will be a key player for us this season. Tony Watt brings a spark to the team, he's a great character to have around, the players love him."
