At Pittodrie, the Dons and Hearts drew a blank. In the Championship, Falkirk salvaged a point away to Morton, while Dumbarton beat Dundee United, Hibs edged out Dunfermline, and Queen of the South and Raith Rovers enjoyed home wins over Ayr and St Mirren respectively. Head coach Neil Lennon has confirmed Hibernian's interest in signing Birmingham City forward Andrew Shinnie.

Scotland cap Shinnie, 27, spent the end of last season on loan at Rotherham United.

"We have spoken to the club and we have spoken to the player," Lennon told BBC Scotland.
