There continues to be very little in between these two sides as we enter into the final stages,

Luke Chambers punts the ball forward to his Ipswich team-mate Jonathan Douglas, but he is quite short and doesn't win the ball over the Norwich defenders.

  2. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

Kevin Bru's free-kick is hit straight and true right at the wall. Anti-climax.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 64 mins

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

Alex Tettey is a little bit stupid here.

The Norwich midfielder is penalised for bringing down Jonathan Douglas about 30 yards out from the Canaries goal. It looked a little soft and Tettey is outraged, but shown a yellow for his protestations.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

After the energy-sapping first half, we're yet to see much in the way of real action in the second period. In a bid to inject some life into this match, Norwich bring on Jacob Murphy for Yousouff Mulumbu.

That comes moments after Daryl Murphy looked to be in on goal but Timm Klose just did enough to stop him and the ball ran away from the Ipswich striker.

Boos from the Ipswich fans as they felt Klose fouled Murphy.

A picture here of the two many would argue are their side's main men today. Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan can really dictate a match if given time and space while Ipswich winger Grant Ward has looked so threatening all day today.

Everything good from Norwich goes through Wes Hoolahan. Steven Whittaker scuffs the volley into the floor, he doesn't get a good enough contact. You can see from his reaction that he's frustrated with that.

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

Ipswich will be grateful for Adam Webster as the defender clears Steven Whittaker's strike off the line.

The Norwich full-back found himself in space in the area after Cameron Jerome's great knockdown, but his shot is into the ground. Had he got a proper connection we could have seen a different outcome.

  9. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

Grant Ward doing what Grant Ward has done all game and putting yet another great cross into the area, but it is cleared by Ryan Bennett for a corner.

Appeals from Ipswich fans for handball off the corner, but the players don't join them in that and the referee waves play on.

Norwich have the better squad and the better team, but Ipswich are hungry. They've been better on the second balls in this game. With the resources Mick McCarthy has, he works wonders.

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

Grant Ward has started the second half like he finished the first, being a danger on the Ipswich right wing. His ball into the area is nicked off the toes of Daryl Murphy by Norwich's Steven Whittaker in the substitute's first action since coming on.

We're back under way in the East Anglian derby. Will we find a winner in this match?

Norwich have made a change at half-time, with Steven Whittaker coming on for Ivo Pinto. Pinto looked decent going forward in the first half, but maybe he injured himself when he tumbled under pressure from Freddie Sears?

Anyway, we are told it's precautionary.

When Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon was born, this lady was number one in the charts...

Is it really 16 years since Oops I Did It Again? That makes me feel old.

On Saturday, Sessegnon became the first player to be born in the year 2000 to score a Championship goal - he found the net in Fulham's 2-2 draw with Cardiff.

Wolves had good reason to do the Viking thunderclap at Birmingham - Iceland international Jon Dadi Bodvarsson scored their third in a 3-1 victory for Wanderers against their local rivals.

Huddersfield are top of the Championship following a 2-1 win over Barnsley, although Norwich are poised to depose them if they win at Portman Road today.

Leeds and Rotherham got their first wins under their new managers, and Newcastle appear to have finally found their feet in the second tier - Dwight Gayle scored for the Magpies in a 1-0 win at Bristol City.

"Get it in the net over there boys!"

Jonas Knudsen certainly did that for you, Mick. I wonder what he'll be saying to his side before the second half?

All I can say is I hope there's no water bottles in the Norwich City dressing room...

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 21 August 2016

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

It goes without saying, but I have to say something, that Jonas Knudsen's equaliser has totally changed the complexion of this game.

Norwich had looked in complete control after Cameron Jerome's smart finish, but the Danish left-back, better known for his 'Rory Delap-like' long throws, has put Mick McCarthy's side level.

  17. Knudsen equalises for Ipswichpublished at 45+1 mins

    Ipswich 1-1 Norwich

    Chris Sutton

It was just a simple throw-in from the right, Daryl Murphy uses his body extremely well, Freddie Sears lays it off, and on his weaker right foot, Knudsen drills it into the corner. And I think it's what Ipswich have deserved.

    Jonas Knudsen

Well that totally changes things on the stroke of half-time and what a time to score only your second goal for your club.

Jonas Knudsen is fed by Freddie Sears and the Ipswich left-back cuts inside onto his weaker right foot on the edge of the area and fires it into the bottom corner to send Portman Road a little bit nuts.

One minute of added time in this first half, a half of two halves, if you know what I mean.

  20. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 Norwich

Since that Cameron Jerome goal, Wes Hoolahan has been one of the most prominent players on the pitch. The Norwich midfielder is pinging the ball out left, right and centre showing his fine wine-like nature as he gets better with age.

But Ipswich did come close a little time ago when Jonas Knudsen almost got on the end of a cross into the box.
