  1. Chance for Celticpublished at 34 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel

Great work from Kieran Tierney down the left again. Another barnstorming run from the full-back, who cuts it back nicely into the path of Scott Sinclair.  But the winger can't get enough purchase on it with his left foot, and it's an easy save for Hapoel keeper David Goresh.

  2. YELLOW CARD (Sinclair)published at 30 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel

Scott Sinclair, making his European debut for Celtic, shows a bit of over exuberance to drag back Hapoel's John Ogu, and is booked for his troubles.

  3. Half-chance for Hapoelpublished at 27 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel

Hapoel's Ben Biton twists and turns on the edge of the box before curling a right-footed effort between the last defender and Celtic keeper Craig Gordon. In the end it was neither a cross or a shot, but a warning for the hosts nonetheless.

  4. Tyro Tierney on the marchpublished at 24 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel

Kieran Tierney, Celtic's great find of last season, has already stamped his mark on this match. The 19-year-old full-back storms forward down the left flank before delivering a wicked cross with his right foot to the back post, which is just too high for Leigh Grifiths.

  5. Bright start for Irish championspublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 17 August 2016

    Dundalk 0-0 Legia Warsaw

The League of Ireland champions Dundalk have started the brighter side at a rain-soaked Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Forward Patrick McEleney has come close twice, heading over the crossbar and then unleashing another strike off target.

The Polish outfit, which contains nine international players, are yet to test Dundalk goalkeeper Gary Rogers.

  6. 'Dangerous every time'published at 20:08 British Summer Time 17 August 2016

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel Beer Sheva

    Tom English
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

"Thunderous start from Celtic, the stuff of Brendan Rodgers' dreams. They look dangerous every time they move forward. A substantial performance so far."

  7. Hapoel venture forwardpublished at 18 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel

Hapoel have a free-kick 10 yards from the Celtic box. Maharan Radi tries to work a clever routine with a cheeky pass rather than a cross, but it is easily snuffed out by the Celtic defence.  The visitors have been forced to come out of their defensive shells though, which could work to Celtic's advantage.

  8. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 12 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel Beer Sheva

Loud shouts for a Celtic penalty as Scott Sinclair goes down under the clumsy challenge of Ovidiu Hoban, but the referee isn't interested.

  9. YELLOW CARD (Goresh)published at 10 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hapoel

Hapoel keeper David Goresh is booked for impeding Sinclair, right on the edge of the area, in the build-up to the goal. Slovenian referee Damir Skomina played a good advantage at the time.

  10. goal

GOAL Celtic 1-0 Hapoel (Rogic, 9 mins)published at 9 mins

Wonderful start for the hosts.  Griffiths curls a lovely burl over the top of the Hapoel defence for Scott Sinclair, who appeared to be chopped down by the onrushing Hapoel keeper David Goresh.  But the ball falls invitingly for Tom Rogic, who sweeps in the opener from the edge of the area.

One of the biggest 90 minutes Celtic will face this season, perhaps THE biggest.

  12. CLOSE!published at 3 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Hapoel

Early chance for Celtic. Kieran Tierney crosses from the left, Leigh Griffiths can't control it but the ball spins out to Scott Brown, whose left-foot shot across goal is pushed round the post by Hapoel keeper David Goresh.

  14. 'You'll Never Walk Alone'...published at 19:42 British Summer Time 17 August 2016

    Celtic v Hapoel (19:45)

...is ringing around Celtic Park.   Which means kick-off is only a few minutes away.  Celtic captain Scott Brown, who makes a club record 69th European appearance tonight, is about to lead his team out into a wall of noise.

  15. 'We have to cope with the pressure'published at 19:38 British Summer Time 17 August 2016

Celtic v Hapoel Beer Sheva (19:45)

Celtic thrashed Motherwell  5-0 in their last competitive outing at home a week ago, in the Scottish League Cup. Tonight is likely to be a more cagey affair, one suspects, against opponents who have proved hard to break down in the competition so far, prevailing 1-0 on aggregate against Olympiacos in the previous qualifying round.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is confident his charges will be able to cope with playing a patient game, and hopes the fans follow suit.

"There'll be moments when we have to cope with the pressure," he said. "I see no reason why the players can't."

Dundalk v Legia Warsaw (19:45 BST)

    Dundalk

"It's David v Goliath, it's Rocky. This club has come from nowhere."

Dundalk FC captain Stephen O'Donnell explains how the Irish side went from playing before a crowd of 226 to the brink of the Champions League.

Just four years after nearly going bust, tonight they play Polish champions Legia Warsaw in front of more than 30,000 fans at the national stadium in Dublin.

Victory in the two-legged play-off would put the League of Ireland club into the group stages alongside teams like Barcelona and Manchester City, and seal a football fairytale.

On the bench Hapoel include Ben Sahar, who made three appearances for Chelsea from 2006-09 and was also on loan at QPR and Sheffield Wednesday, and at various Dutch, Spanish, French and German clubs, before returning to Israel.
