As for Sunderland, that's now nine games without a win at the start of the Premier League season.

Sunderland definitely look happy to take a point now, Lamine Kone hacking one away down field with no one there to collect it.

Into the final seconds at the London Stadium and as Sunderland deal with a West Ham free-kick it looks like that might be the Hammers' last chance of emerging with three points.

The former Manchester United striker attempts to cut a pass back into the box, but scuffs it and the ball is cleared by Sunderland.

Well this game is drifting now, and David Moyes makes his last change with Whabi Khazri replaced by Billy Jones for Sunderland.

Ashley Fletcher, who joined from Manchester United in the summer, is thrown on in place of Manuel Lanzini for West Ham as Slaven Bilic looks for a way through this Sunderland defence.

West Ham probing, but to no avail as Jonathan Calleri looks to scoop a pass through to Manuel Lanzini only to see it gathered by Jordan Pickford.

Steven Pienaar is replaced by Paddy McNair for the visitors...does that mean they are happy to settle for a point?

Jim: Zaza can't buy a goal and is off. Confidence? Its not skill he is a great player maybe the West Ham system?

Duncan Watmore has had a good game today, but the 22-year-old's afternoon is brought to an end as he is replaced by Lynden Gooch.

Long hoof down field from Jordan Pickford picks out Jermain Defoe in space deep in the hosts' half, but Cheikou Kouyate recovers to win the ball off the striker.

West Ham then look to break forward, with the home crowd sounding restless, and Pedro Obiang takes it upon himself to go striding through the Sunderland defence before clipping an effort into the side netting.

Fantastic feet from Sofiane Feghouli on West Ham's right sees him drift past Patrick van Aanholt and find space to whip a cross over, but it's too long for Jonathan Calleri who can't collect in the middle and Sunderland clear.

So the wait for a first West Ham goal goes on for Simone Zaza, who is replaced by Jonathan Calleri.

Sunderland break from a West Ham corner through Duncan Watmore and then Lamine Kone.

The defender gives it to Jermain Defoe, but the forward is judged to have dived on the edge of the box and finds himself in the book.

Edimilson Fernandes skips on to a Sofiane Feghouli pass on the edge of the box, but his first-time right-footed shot is high and wide.

That's West Ham's best move in a while though, and a nice touch from the substitute after cutting inside from the right wing.

Michail Antonio goes off for the Hammers and Sofiane Feghouli takes his place.

Simone Zaza is cutting a lonely figure up top for West Ham at the minute.

The Hammers are trying to pick him out from long range on the break, but the forward is far too isolated to make anything of another counter attack.

Well, there's confidence and then there's shooting from inside your own half...

Whabi Khazri, yet to score for Sunderland this season, tries to beat Adrian from just inside Sunderland territory and, unsurprisingly, it doesn't trouble the home stopper.

Jermain Defoe is again causing problems for the visitors. He manages to squeeze a cross over from the left which isn't fully cleared.

It drops to Patrick van Aanholt, who watches a hopeful left-footed drive deflect wide.
