  1. Hero? Zero? Both?published at 18:07 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

A lot of you are struggling with how you feel about Dejan Lovren...

Natasha:   Too much hero-to-zero in one game!

Dan Formston: Lovren - the fastest saving of one's bacon I've ever seen.

Louise: I love how when our players do make a mistake they do redeem themselves most of the time. Well in Lovren!

Lenny Valbuena: Alright Lovren, I forgive you.

Simon Vin: Liverpoolin a nutshell. Score a wonderfully worked goal only to gift one to the opposition. That same player redeems himself and scores!

  2. 'A great moment for Palace'published at 18:06 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Crystal Palace 2-2 Liverpool

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss on 5 live Sport

    What a game!

That was a terrific header from McArthur, the goalkeeper had no chance, a superb, punchy header.

It's a great moment for Palace, they've been completely outplayed but it's 2-2.

    James McArthur

This is getting, frankly, ridiculous. Crystal Palace are back on level terms, James McArthur - that renowned Premier League predator - heading in his second!

Dejan Lovren is again a major protagonist, allowing the Palace midfielder to jump above him and nod in from six yards.

Liverpool are finding loads of space behind Palace full-back Joel Ward by the way. They could end up with a hatful here...

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss on 5 live Sport

That was genius from Coutinho, he subtly reversed the ball to the overlapping Moreno, such skill.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 28 mins

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

Ooof! The frame of the Crystal Palace goal is still shaking. Liverpool pile forward quickly again after winning the ball inside their own half, Philippe Coutinho playing a reverse pass to Alberto Moreno who thumps against the left-hand post from a tight angle.

  7. Complaints about the refereepublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

And there's already complaints about the referee in this Crystal Palace v Liverpool match, but not about what you might think..

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

Dejan Lovren is pumped! The Liverpool centre-back, after his action-packed start, bolts out of the gate to sprint down the left flank. Not sure what he's doing there. I don't think he knows. Joel Ward does enough to make sure Lovren can't go any further.

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

This is like a game of Breakout. And it is Palace who are locked inside the room and struggling to find a route out. Emre Can spins inside the box, slipping as he shoots tamely at Steve Mandanda.

  10. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

Liverpool steam forward again with the speed of an intercity train. The ball ricochets into the path of Roberto Firmino whose slightly-scuffed shot is blocked by a despairing slide by Joel Ward.

Three shots on target, three goals. Keep shooting lads!

  12. Immediate atonement for Lovrenpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss on 5 live Sport

What an irony! McArthur made the mistake for Liverpool's first goal then equalised himself, and now Lovren who made the mistake for the Palace goal has immediately atoned!

    This is quite incredible.

    Dejan Lovren

Would you Adam and Eve it! Dejan Lovren has only gone and redeemed himself. The Liverpool defender, moments after that howler at the other end, outmuscles his marker to meet Philippe Coutinho's corner with a thumping header.

  14. Error from Karius?published at 17:51 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpool

    David Pleat

I'm not sure if the goalkeeper Karius was as brave as he might be, he seemed to turn as McArthur went in with real bravery.

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpoolpublished at 18 mins

    James McArthur

Palace are level! And it is an absolute gift for James McArthur.

Dejan Lovren is the culprit, making a complete mess of a pass back to Loris Karius, allowing McArthur to nip in and head into an open goal.

Jurgen Klopp manages a wry smile. Lovren won't find his half-time rollicking funny.

  16. 'Too easy for Liverpool'published at 17:48 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Liverpool

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss on 5 live Sport

It was a very fine finish by the young German Can.

It was touch and go for offside, the assistant gave Liverpool the benefit of the doubt and it was an unerring finish from Can.

Palace now need to come out and get in the faces of Liverpool, it's been a little easy so far.

GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-1 Liverpoolpublished at 15 mins

    Emre Can

Not the start Palace envisaged. The home side are sliced open like a hot knife through butter by a slick Liverpool move.

Phil Coutinho dinks the ball out to Alberto Moreno on the left side of the Palace box and his first-time cutback is swept in by Emre Can.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Liverpool

More like it! Palace burst forward on the counter, finally picking out the burly figure of Christian Benteke. The ex-Liverpool man makes it stick, waiting for the arrival of Joe Ledley before offloading. The Wales midfielder tries to pull the trigger but is crowded out.

  19. Postpublished at 11 mins

Palace are struggling to hold on to the ball at the moment. They're back defending in numbers but aren't springing forward in unison as yet.

Already the luminous yellow shirts of Liverpool are showing some intricate touches with the ball.

I'm not sure what colour you call those shirts, but let's hope they illuminate the afternoon...

I've told you David, it's 'Toxic and Thunder'. Of course...
