Roma were trailing Austria Vienna inside the opening two minutes but have now turned it around through former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Daniele de Rossi.

Feyenoord, who started tonight level on points with United in Group A, are ahead against Zorya Luhansk thanks to Nicolai Jorgensen's goal.

Astra Giurgiu and Athletic Bilbao are also ahead in their matches against Viktoria Plzen and Genk respectively.

The early game finished 1-1 between Astana and Olympiakos. That keeps Astana in the competition as a defeat could have seen them eliminated.

    Fenerbahce 0-1 Man Utd

Fenerbahce may be sitting deep but they are carrying a threat on the counter as Jeremain Lens just fails to get his head to a ball into the box and it drifts just wide of the post.

A second goal for the hosts, and you'd fear there'd be no way back for Manchester United.

  3. CLOSE!published at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2016

    Zenit St Petersburg 0-0 Dundalk

Dundalk goalkeeper Gary Rogers makes a fine diving save to deny Oleg Shatov's fiercely struck shot. The Irish stopper showed two powerful hands to push the ball over the bar.

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear.

A real chance for Manchester United as Anthony Martial's peach of a pass finds Wayne Rooney, just inside the box, and unmarked. He has to equalise, but the England captain's first touch is terrible, allowing Martin Skrtel to sweep up.

    Should have done better.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18 mins

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Manchester United need to be careful. They are picking up some early needless bookings as Ander Herrera goes in the book for a late challenge on Souza.

Herrera was sent off against Burnley at the weekend. He needs to keep his discipline here.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2016

    Zenit St Petersburg 0-0 Dundalk

John Mountney goes close to giving Dundalk a shock lead as his cross-cum-shot from the right smacks off the post. The League of Ireland champions more than holding their own so far.

  8. Sow goodpublished at 18:18 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2016

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

I couldn't help putting in that headline. I'm sow-wy. This is the overhead goal from Moussa Sow that probably surprised everyone in the stadium, including himself. Absolute peach of a strike.

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

A chance for Manchester United as they get a corner. It causes a bit of confusion inside the box and Ander Herrera almost bounces, but Fenerbahce clear just as he tries to get a shot off.

Jeremain Lens sends the free-kick to the far post, but Mehmet Topal heads over.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 11 mins

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Fenerbahce are playing with confidence, not afraid to give a few tricks a go and Alper Potuk is sent away down the right by a cheeky backheel by Jeremain Lens. Potuk gets the edge of the box, feeds Lens on the overlap but he's brought down right on the edge of the box by Morgan Schneiderlin. Yellow card for the Manchester United player and a free-kick in a decent position for the hosts...

Unable to pick a way through the defence, Marcus Rashford tries his luck from distance but his weak effort drifts harmlessly wide.

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Fenerbahce have dropped deep so Manchester United are seeing plenty of the ball, but they are struggling to find a way to break through the hosts' backline.

Wayne Rooney has wound back the clock to play the striker's role, but he's not getting much support.

Zenit St Petersburg, Ajax, Shakhtar Donetsk and Schalke are the teams who can reach the knockout stages after tonight's 24 Europa League matches.

Zenit, currently on a maximum nine points, will be through if they avoid defeat against Dundalk tonight.

Shakhtar, also with three wins from three, are through if they avoid defeat tonight when they play Gent and will clinch first place with a win.

The other team with a 100 per cent record is Schalke and they will qualify if they beat Krasnodar, or if they draw and Nice do not win against Red Bull Salzburg.

Ajax will qualify from Group G if they beat Celta Vigo. The Dutch side currently have seven points.

    Fenerbache 1-0 Man Utd

The crowd's reaction to that goal could probably be heard all the way back in Manchester, such was the explosion of noise.

Whistles and jeers greet every touch from a Manchester United player. It's as intimidating as it comes inside the ground.
