Mr Obvious: First goal De Gea doesn't try. Second goal De Gea doesn't try. I don't know what he is doing. Taking his skill for granted.

Steve Howes: Fabulous free kick, de gea is still watching it

Anthony Muindi: Rashford and Martial playing everywhere else except the wings, Rooney and Zlatan playing everywhere else except upfront

    Jeremain Lens

An already difficult task has just been made even harder as Fenerbahce double their lead.

This time it is Jeremain Lens, as the on-loan Sunderland man curls a free-kick around the Manchester United wall and completely catches out David de Gea, with the goalkeeper stood statuesque as the ball hits the back of the net. Great strike.

Mohammed Khan: Ya'll forgetting. Most of these purchases were LVG's. Changes were never going to be immediate.

Alex Corps: This is one of Utd's most congested, plodding teams in a while. Shake it up, play Rashford, Martial, Memphis as a front 3

Patrick from Oxford: City beat the best team in the world in the same week Utd struggle in Turkey....embarrassing

Southampton v Inter Milan (20:05 GMT)

Southampton boss Claude Puel has scribbled out his teamsheet and handed it over to the ref.

And the Frenchman, as he has done previously in the Europa League, has made several changes for the visit of Inter Milan.

Striker Jay Rodriguez is one of six new faces from Sunday's home defeat by Chelsea, top scorer Charlie Austin dropping to the bench alongside Jose Fonte, Jordy Clasie, Steven Davis and Ryan Bertrand.

Interim Inter Milan coach Stefan Vecchi brings back a few familiar names from the side which started the weekend defeat at Sampdoria.

Skipper Mauro Icardi leads the line and, with eight goals this season, is likely to provide the biggest threat to Southampton

Inter XI: Handanovic, D’Ambrosio, Miranda, Ranocchia, Nagatomo, Medel, Gnoukouri, Candreva, Banega, Perisic, Icardi.

  7. goal

GOAL - Zenit St Petersburg 1-1 Dundalkpublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2016

    Daryl Horgan (52 mins)

League of Ireland champions Dundalk level in the 52nd minute!

Daryl Horgan scores on the counter-attack, capitalising on a defensive error by running from inside his own half and tucking the ball into the net past Mikhail Kerzhakov.

Horgan's memorable week continues following his call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad on Wednesday.

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Anthony Martial swings the ball into the box and it kisses Wayne Rooney's head. Not enough contact to trouble Volkan Demirel and the Fenerbahce keeper watches the ball sail wide.

  9. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Manchester United are almost tripping over themselves trying to play through a congested middle. This will suit the hosts, who are comfortably repelling the visitors' attacks.

Martin Sommers: As a Utd supporter since 1957 I hate to say this, but I actually hope we drop out of this competition. We're not going to win it and it's just gets in the way of trying to make top four!

Jon in Manchester: Paul Pogba sold by Man Utd for £1.5 million. Bought by Man Utd for £80 million. Sold again for £1.5 million?

Henrik: Feel bad for Pogba, think too much is made of goals, assists & generally playing well. Take the dabs, haircuts & fancy hand shakes into consideration.

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Anthony Martial is brought down midway inside Fenerbahce's half. The ball is played quickly out wide for Luke Shaw but Fenerbahce cut it out and quickly break forward. This time the attack breaks down asAlper Potuk's pass is poor and Manchester United regain possession.

  12. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

It's steady start to the half, with no chances for either side as yet.

Fenerbahce fans pick up from where they left off by booing as soon as the ball goes anywhere near Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He's dropping back into midfield to pick up passes, but it is limiting Manchester United's attack options.

Matt in Chigwell: As a keeper I was dropped from the senior school squad when I was 16 - forced to play with the under 15s most of the season. Recalled for last game of the season, a local derby; assisted a last minute equaliser when I came up for a corner to make it 3-3, then saved a penalty in the shootout. Hero.

Who would have believed six years ago, Southampton would not only be hosting Inter Milan in European competition but doing so as favourites, and as a more stable club.

In 2010, Saints were just out of administration and in League One. Their silverware? The Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

By contrast, under Jose Mourinho won the Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia to complete an historic Treble.

Now though, Inter are in crisis, having sacked coach Frank de Boer on Tuesday after just 85 days in charge. Saints? Well, despite Sunday's defeat at Chelsea, they remain in the top half of the Premier League under Claude Puel.

Julian Croker: Jose should bring on Juan Mata for Rooney now, otherwise United will stumble on to defeat.

RegularJon: Once in a lifetime goal for Sow and people slag of the defence? 7th best in PL, not bad given position. Attack is the problem

Ross Bownes: Schweinsteiger would be perfect right about now...

Martin Rayner: Time to call for Gary Megson. Could he do any worse than Mourinho?

Barry Johnson: Mcfc were going for Pogba but then decided that Gundogan was a better option at £20 m. Wonder if they got the best deal?

David Pascal: United playing better and looking a threat without the overrated Pogba

Jason Moore: Ibra looms awful atm, on par with Rooney in terms of all round play. Misplacing countless passes and doesn't look like scoring

Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk have drawn level against Feyenoord in Group A, a result which helps Manchester United's hope of qualification.

As we told you earlier Zenit lead Dundalk 1-0 and that would make the Russian side the first side to qualify for the knockout stages as it stands.

Elsewhere, Athletic Bilbao are 3-1 up against Genk, Anderlecht are 2-1 ahead against Mainz and Roma lead 2-1 against Austria Vienna.

Here are the other latest scores: Apoel Nicosia 0-0 Young Boys, Qabala 1-1 Saint-Etienne, Maccabi Tel-Aviv 0-0 AZ Alkmaar, Astra Giurgiu 1-1 Viktoria Plzen, Sassuolo 2-0 Rapid Vienna.

  19. Right move by Mourinho?published at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2016

    Fenerbahce 1-0 Man Utd

Did Jose Mourinho bring the right player on? Zlatan Ibrahimovic's introduction briefly gave Manchester United a bit of spark in attack but for the most part they have been pretty pedestrian in the final third. United have had just two shots on goal, with one on those on target.

Increased creativity or an increased goal threat is what United need. Ibrahimovic, who has one goal in his 10 previous appearances, is arguably neither of those at the moment.

He needs to take a leaf out of a fellow 35-year-old's book. Aritz Aduriz has bagged a first-half hat-trick for Athletic Bilbao against Genk.

    Anyone recognise Saints' partially-hidden goalscorer?

To nick a line off Jimmy Greaves, it's a funny old game innit?! And casting our minds back to the 2009-10 season proves it.

Inter Milan were being managed by Jose Mourinho, had a star-studded squad led by Javier Zanetti and Samuel Eto'o, and went on to win the Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia treble.

Southampton, meanwhile, won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. And finished seventh in League One.

Now the two clubs are peers. Saints are second in Group K with four points from three games, two points behind leaders Sparta Prague. Inter meanwhile are bottom with three points...
