Today is the last round of league fixtures before the transfer window closes on Wednesday evening.

With no emergency loan window in operation any more, this is the final chance EFL clubs will get to add to their squad until January.

We want to know - if you could add one player to your team before the transfer deadline, who would it be?

Maybe it's a new striker, a midfield general or a dominant centre-back to shore up your club's defence.

Include #bbcefl in your answers on Twitter and we'll include your submissions through the afternoon.

The other Championship game we'll be keeping an eye on today is Bristol City's game against Aston Villa.

The Robins started the season strongly with successive victories but have since fallen to back-to-back defeats to slip down the table.

Roberto di Matteo's Villa, meanwhile, have only won one of their four league games since relegation from the Premier League.

Can Bristol City turn around their recent league results and inflict defeat on Villa before the international break?

  3. Will lightening strike at Forest again?published at 14:41 British Summer Time 27 August 2016

Nottm Forest v Leeds (15:00 BST)

If you want goals in the Championship this season, then the City Ground is the place to go.

Both of Nottingham Forest's home matches this season have been seven goal thrillers which have ended 4-3 in favour of the hosts.

Today's visitors are Leeds United, who recorded their first victory of the season last time out at Sheffield Wednesday.

It may end up raining goals in Nottingham again today, but one thing catching the eye will be Leeds' new goalkeeping jersey...

  4. Rovers search for first winpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 27 August 2016

    Blackburn v Fulham (15:00 BST)

Blackburn Rovers are the only team in the Championship yet to win this season.

Owen Coyle's side have fallen to defeats against Norwich, Wigan and Cardiff, but managed to pick up a point last time out against Burton.

Rovers are bottom of the table, having conceded 11 goals in their four games so far.

Today's visitors to Ewood Park are Fulham, who are fifth in the fledgling table after an unbeaten start.

With all that in mind, will there be a smile on Coyle's face at five o'clock today?

  5. Terriers on toppublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 27 August 2016

    Huddersfield v Wolves (15:00 BST)

If you're a Huddersfield Town fan, then the Championship table is looking pretty rosy.

The Terriers have won three of their opening four league games and welcome third-placed Wolves today.

That is one of four games we'll be keeping a close eye on in the Championship, along with Aston Villa's trip to Bristol City, Nottingham Forest's game at home to Leeds and Fulham's visit to early strugglers Blackburn.

If Huddersfield are still top of the table heading into the international break will boss David Wagner be able to contain his joy?

The weekend's EFL action got under way at the Pirelli Stadium last night, when Burton Albion welcomed Derby County in the first competitive meeting between the two sides.

And it was Brewers boss Nigel Clough who got one over his old side as Jackson Irvine scored the only goal of the game to give the hosts victory.

While just 12 miles of the A38 separate the two sides, the clubs had never featured in the same division until this season.

You can read more on Burton's victory over their local rivals in Andrew Aloia's match report.
