    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Sixfields

Manchester United continuing to dominate possession but need more of a cutting edge, hence the introduction of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford. Not having much luck with the woodwork either - that was a superb strike by Ander Herrera.

  2. goal

GOAL - QPR 1-0 Sunderlandpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Sandro (60 mins)

What a goal that is! Who knew Sandro was still at QPR? Well he is, and he has battered in a left-footed shot on the bounce from 15 yards out.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

Any chance of closing him down! Ander Herrera thumps the base of the post with a fine srike from 20-odd yards. But Northampton were far too casual there.

Cairan Ryan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United's last-ditch sub to solve the puzzle of Northampton Town's defence. Bizarre world

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Swansea 0-1 Man City

This just seems cruel... City, already a goal up, now make their first substitution, with Kevin de Bruyne introduced for Angelino Tasende.

  6. ZLATAN ONpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

    Extraordinary.

Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both on for Manchester United, for Memphis Depay and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Northampton send on their own talisman, as John-Joe O'Toole - a cult hero - is on.

    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

    Steve Claridge

No width from Manchester United. No width whatsoever. All their good play at the start came from getting the ball out wide, and now Memphis and Young are tucking in again.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

Northampton midfielder Jak McCourt flies into a rash scissor challenge, straight through Memphis Depay. Even in the lower leagues that's rough treatment and the former Barnsley man is relieved to only see a yellow.

    Could that have been red?

    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

Here's a sight we never thought we'd see at Sixfields - Zlatan Ibrahimovic is warming up in front of the West Stand. Memphis Depay has a dig from a long way out but that is easy for Adam Smith.

    Gael Clichy (49 mins)

Total fussball! Gael Clichy pops up on the end of a flowing move, in the middle of the D, and his right-footed shot flies in via a deflection.

  15. goal

GOAL - Stoke 1-1 Hullpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Ryan Mason (45 mins)

What a goal that is! I'm not entirely convinced that it was meant, but record signing Ryan Mason has drawn them level with a volley on the run, looped over the keeper's head and in.

That's his first for the club.

Joel Sparks: Honestly, I think Moyes and Van Gaal may have broke Man Utd beyond all repair. Slow, lacking invention and clumsy.

Kyle: I have always been a big Wayne Rooney fan. However his form all this season has been awful. He must be dropped.

Luke: United and Jose Mourinho are the joke that keeps on giving. Zlatan must be fuming being dragged to a League One side in reserve cup competition.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:44 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Stoke 1-0 Hull

Stoke have dominated this half and they go close again. Full-back Glen Johnson cuts inside and lets rip from distance and his shot is tipped over the crossbar by Hull goalkeeper David Marshall.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20:41 British Summer Time 21 September 2016

    Tottenham 1-0 Gillingham

Vincent Janssen's wait for a first goal for Tottenham goes on as he dances around the last man and beats the keeper - but the shot is cleared off the line.

    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker at Sixfields, BBC Radio 5 live

Manchester United dominated possession without doing a lot with it. All the tempo went out the game as soon as they went 1-0 up.

United haven't had much natural width and Wayne Rooney's not had much support. Had they got a second it would probably have been game over.

Northampton have done well to hang in there and you wouldn't begrudge it them.

Kyle: Brilliant from Northampton in the last 10 minutes. Awful defending from United. There team look as bad as last year.

Paul Iummis: A deserved equalizer. And all started from Rooney carelessly giving away possession in attack. Poor
