    Northampton 1-1 Man Utd

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Sixfields

Northampton Town getting the message loud and clear as that first half came to a close. Manchester United are frail if you put them under pressure and that was the case in the last phase before the break.

Jose Mourinho will be frustrated United did not make the most of all that possession and territory, and the boost of the goal, and now the mood has changed completely around Sixfields.

Romero has made an awful mess of that. That should have been dealt with much easier. Although I don't think it's a penalty.

That's rank poor defending from Manchester United who had plenty of chances to clear it. As soon as United scored they just took the intensity out of the game.

It's been a languid 20 minutes from United, it's lacked tempo because it's almost been too easy for them on the ball. And they have been punished.

Northampton just have to stay organised, keep their shape and stay in the game.

If they get a chance inside the Manchester United box they have to make the most of it.
