    Barcelona v Alaves (19:30 BST)

No midweek European commitments for Alaves boss Mauricio Pellegrino to consider, but he has made four changes nonetheless; centre-back Zouhair Feddal has a sprained ankle, and so Victor Laguardia starts. Theo Hernandez also comes in to bolster the back line. Brazilian striker Deyverson, signed on loan from Levante, comes into the attack, while midfielder Manu Garcia is dropped to the bench.

Alaves XI: Pacheco; Femenia, Alexis, Laguardia, Hernandez, Raul Garcia; Torres, Llorente, Gomez, Edgar; Deyverson.

Well, this is interesting. Luis Enrique, it would seem with one eye on Celtic, has made seven changes to the team who beat Athletic Bilbao before the international break. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez drop the bench, where they are joined by Andres Iniesta, who is fit after injury.

Neymar returns to the side after his Olympic adventure, and there are debuts for goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen and striker Paco Alcacer. Sergio Busquets, one of only four players to retain their place, is captain for the night.

Barcelona XI: Cillessen; Vidal, Mascherano, Mathieu, Digne; Rakitic, Busquets, Denis Suarez; Turan, Alcacer, Neymar.

    Barcelona v Alaves (19:30 BST)

It has been a good start to the season for Barca, who wrapped up their first trophy of the campaign by 17 August, beating Sevilla to win the Spanish Super Cup, and have won their opening two La Liga games.

The big question tonight is: Who plays up front? Neymar is available again after missing the start of the campaign to help Brazil's football team win Olympic gold in Rio, while Lionel Messi has been struggling with a groin problem.

Manager Luis Enrique has also had to consider where to fit Paco Alcacer, his new £25.5m signing from Valencia, and Arda Turan, who has been in terrific form. Let's bring you the team news to answer those questions...

We all expected Barcelona and Real Madrid to be up at the top of La Liga this season - but not many of us thought Las Palmas would be among the front-runners.

The team from the Canary Islands slipped up at Sevilla today, but have still made a better-than-expected start. With that in mind, we want you to do some forecasting for us. Who do you think will be La Liga's surprise package this season?

You can pick a team, a player or a coach - and we'll be more likely to use your contribution if you can give us a reason as well. Tweet us using the hashtag #bbceurofooty.

  5. Ronaldo back in businesspublished at 19:05

    La Liga round-up

Firstly, let's bring you up to date with the other results in La Liga. Cristiano Ronaldo scored six minutes into his comeback from a knee injury as Real Madrid beat Osasuna 5-2 in a very eventful game. (In addition to the seven goals, Karim Benzema hit the bar and the post for Real, while Osasuna had a penalty saved and saw full-back Tano Bonnin sent off.)

That means Real are top of the table, as Las Palmas, the morning leaders, fell to a dramatic late 2-1 defeat at Sevilla, who scored twice right at the end after being a goal down.

In the day's early kick-off, Atletico Madrid picked up their first win of the season, beating Celta Vigo 4-0. So much for Antoine Griezmann's comment a couple of weeks ago about fearing a relegation battle after two early-season draws. Elsewhere, Villarreal won 2-0 at Malaga.

A little earlier on, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was asked about the prospect of facing Barcelona in the Champions League at the Nou Camp on Tuesday. "That is a game that we can go and enjoy now," he said.

He was in a good mood - and so he should have been. His Celtic team had just beaten Rangers 5-1 in their first league derby for four years. Rodgers, one suspects, will now be sitting in front of his television to take a look at his next opponents - who have one or two surprises in their team selection tonight. More on that shortly.

    Barcelona v Alaves (19:30 BST)

Welcome back. The Euro team has returned from its siesta, and is ready to enjoy the action from the Nou Camp. And what an intriguing contest we have, as the champions of La Liga host the champions of the Segunda Division.

Barcelona and Alaves are both unbeaten so far. Mauricio Pellegrino's promoted side have already drawn at Atletico Madrid this season. Can they produce against Barca too?
