Both sides are just missing the final ball at the moment.

City get the ball forward but Nikita Parris' cross to the far post is just a bit too deep.

Moments later, Demi Stokes battles to the byline and cuts it back for Isobel Christiansen in the area, but Chelsea make a vital intervention and the ball is cleared by Millie Bright.

This is City's best spell so far.

Manchester City striker Jane Ross has room to head towards goal from Toni Duggan's right-footed cross from the left, but Chelsea goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer holds the save.

Chelsea have started well. They've had the ball forward, up and near the City box, four times already. But there have been no clear-cut chances to tell you about just yet.

It looks like a pretty decent crowd at the Academy Stadium.

City have had the highest average home attendance in the WSL this year and I'd guess there are more than 2,500 at the game today. The main stand is full.

Chelsea's Ji So-Yun whips a cross from the left towards Karen Carney and the ball goes over Carney but she went down under the challenge of Demi Stokes at the far post - did Stokes give Carney a nudge in the back there?

The penalty appeals are relatively muted. The referee waves play on.

Chelsea have got to come out all guns blazing. City will go for the three points - it will be dangerous just to settle for a draw.

Chelsea need to go for it and they've got the players to do it. I just hope the occasion doesn't get the better of both teams. It's set up for a great game.

A minute's silence is beautifully well-observed in honour of Sylvia Gore, the first player to score an international goal for England's Women's side, who passed away recently.

Kelly Simmons, the FA's head of women's football, tells BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "People might remember a couple of years ago that Chelsea came here needing to win at Manchester City to win the league. Manchester City won that day and the league went to Liverpool.

"The last thing Chelsea will want to do is relinquish their title here at Manchester City, so I think it will make for an absorbing game."
