  1. Partick Thistle v St Johnstonepublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald: "Adam Barton only came up to Glasgow on Monday but he's settled into the group and he'll be a good addition. We'll see how it goes if and when we bring him off the bench today.

"We know how hard we had to work to get the three victories against St Johnstone last season because they are well organised."

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright: "We've got a nice summer day and the pitch is looking great.

"Alan Mannus has been sick the last couple of days so when you've got a good replacement like Zander Clark there's no real point in risking Alan.

"We were in for Joe Gormley when he was leaving Cliftonville but couldn't compete with Peterborough so we're glad to have him now. He's a goalscorer and he scores all types of goals as well. He's probably two weeks away from being ready to start."

  8. Team spirit pleases Rodgerspublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers on Moussa Dembele: "I thought he was outstanding. He was up against Philippe Senderos, who's an experienced player, but his physicality in the game, his heading ability, his running ability and you see with his goal a wonderful touch and finish.

"I have to make the team work and sometimes he will play in there with Leigh Griffiths, sometimes he won't, but I think you've seen the spirit in the team.

"It was two players who haven't always started who have scored four of our five goals."

  9. Warburton "hugely disappointed"published at 14:40 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    FT: Celtic 5-1 Rangers

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has been speaking to Sky Sports.  As you'd expect, he admits the result is "hugely disappointing" and laments "poor decisions" made by his players in the build-up to several goals, and concedes the handball which led to a red card for Philippe Senderos "hurt us".

Asked what led to his assistant David Weir being sent to the stands, Warburton says Weir was "hugely frustrated that Barrie McKay was taken out on the touchline by a player on a yellow card."

"At 3-1 down, it was already an uphill task, but that could have made it 10 against 10," he said.

It transpires that the player who impeded McKay was Mikael Lustig, who wasn't on a yellow card.

  11. Bragging rights for Celtic fanspublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers: "Very pleased, very happy for the players and the supporters.

"A derby game is all about getting that feeling for the players. They had a real disappointment at Hampden only a few months back, so hopefully they have shown the improvements they have made.

"It is great for the supporters. It is always about bragging rights for the supporters and I think they will be proud of their team today."

    Brian McLauchlin

Dundee could go second in the table with a win and results elsewhere go their way. A win for Kilmarnock could also see them leap into the top half of the table at this early stage of the season.

  14. "Something unbelievable' for hat-trick hero Dembelepublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    FT: Celtic 5-1 Rangers

Moussa Dembele on Radio Scotland: "It feels great. To score a hat-trick, my first in professional football, is something unbelievable. I will remember this for my whole life.

"Everyone has welcomed me since I came to the club and the fans were unbelievable today. I have been waiting to play my first Old Firm game and today everything went well. We scored five goals and I scored a hat-trick.

"The atmosphere is something I have never seen. I don't think I will see something like this in my career.  I am happy for us and I am happy for the fans and the whole club that we got a victory."

  19. 'So disappointing from Rangers'published at 14:11 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    FT: Celtic 5-1 Rangers

Former Rangers and Scotland striker Steven Thompson on Radio Scotland: "Rangers were nowhere near good enough to contain a team of Celtic's attacking power. From a Rangers perspective, it was so disappointing.  They didn't make De Vries make a save until the 90th minute.  It was a totally dominant performance from Celtic. Two wins, two draws and a defeat from your first five games doesn't make great reading for Rangers."
