  1. Rangers 'didn't have legs in midfield'published at 14:08 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    FT: Celtic 5-1 Rangers

    Pat Bonner
    BBC Scotland pundit

"Rangers did well for the first half-hour but their legs got tired quickly. You have to question putting up a midfield like that against Celtic. Joey Barton doesn't have the legs anymore and he is not at the level of Rangers players of the past. Niko Krankcar just can't run, and Josh Windass was the best of the three, but that was the area where the game was won."

  2. 'A huge gulf'published at 14:08 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    FT Celtic 5-1 Rangers

    Tom English
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

"There's been way too much loose talk about whether Rangers can mount a title challenge to Celtic. That chat will end now. There is a huge gulf between these team and it was confirmed this afternoon. Celtic had too many guns and too much energy and ability. Rangers' problems were as we suspected they would be - nowhere near enough pace and power in midfield and all sorts of vulnerabilities in defence."

  4. 'A great gulf between Celtic and Rangerspublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    FT: Celtic 5-1 Rangers

    Tom English
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

"Celtic are finishing games so strongly and scoring a lot of goals late on, even without the help of a red card.  They have a new-found ruthlessness in front of goal under Brendan Rodgers.  They are certainly not flattered by 5-1.  It was a stroll. Rangers were on the back foot from the start and Celtic just routed them. There is just a great gulf between Celtic and Rangers."

  6. Pass marks for Celticpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Celtic 5-1 Rangers

Now here's a thing - we think that every outfield Celtic player got a touch in Celtic's fifth goal, which was scored by Stuart Armstrong.

  15. Not forgetting Sinclair...published at 13:47 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Celtic 4-1 Rangers

While the headlines will be all about hat-trick star Moussa Dembele, let's not forget Celtic's other scorer, Scott Sinclair. And who provided the pass for his goal? Why, that would be Dembele.

Oh, by the way, Moussa Dembele was booked for celebrating his hat-trick. It's a strange form of entertainment, football.

  17. 'Brilliant day for Dembele'published at 86mins

    Celtic 4-1 Rangers

    Pat Bonner
    BBC Scotland pundit

"We asked whether Dembele could lead the line and score the goals from open play. He has certainly shown today he can do that.  The confidence is going to be oozing out of his body after his hat-trick.  You don't get this story too often. He also laid on the fourth goal for Sinclair.  It is a brilliant day for the young man."

  19. goal

    GOALpublished at 83mins

    Celtic 4-1 Rangers (Dembele)

It's as simple as that - Mikael Lustig runs into the Rangers half, on the right, and clips a ball over to Moussa Dembele. The Frenchman takes a touch to control it and slams a low shot into the Rangers net for his hat-trick. What a performance.
