Steven Anderson has been named as St Johnstone's new club captain, the Perth club have announced.
The 30-year-old centre-back, who has made over 330 appearances for Saints - his only senior club - since 2004, takes over from Dave MacKay, who retired last week due to an on-going hip issue.
Boss Tommy Wright told the club's official website: "It was an easy decision for me. "Steven is the longest-serving player at the club, a leader on the pitch and is perfect to follow in Dave's footsteps."
Chris Millar and Brian Easton will remain as joint-vice captains.
Uefa today launched the logo for Euro 2020. In a radical change the tournament will be held across 13 European cities. One of them is Glasgow, which will host three group matches and a round of 16 match. The final will be held in London.
All set up then for a Scotland v England final at Wembley then? First though Gordon Strachan's men have the small matter of a 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign to negotiate.
Let's hope by 2020 Scotland will be going into the European Championship after a successful World Cup in Russia.
Too much to hope for?
One for Celtic fans to look forward to....

Tuesday's win in Reykjavik was an ideal way for Scotland's women footballers to celebrate their landmark achievement of reaching a first major finals.
Since Anna Signeul took charge in 2005, they have suffered play-off heartache on three occasions, twice in qualifying for the Euros, once for the World Cup.
Here is the Swede's full record in competitive matches:
2007 World Cup – DNQ - 3rd in group behind Germany and Russia - P 8 W 2 D 2 L 4
2009 Euros - DNQ – 3rd in group behind Denmark and Ukraine - P 8 W 3 D 1 L 4 - lost in play-offs on away goals to Russia (4-4 on agg)
2011 World Cup - DNQ – 2nd in group behind Denmark - P 8 W 6 D 1 L 1 (only group winners went into play-offs)
2013 Euros – DNQ – 2nd in group behind France – P 8 W 5 D 1 L 2 – lost in play-offs to Spain (4-3 on agg, after extra-time in second leg)
2015 World Cup – DNQ – 2nd in group behind Sweden – P 10 W 8 D 0 L 2 – lost in play-offs to Netherlands (4-1 on aggregate)
2017 Euros – Qualified – 2nd in group behind Iceland – P 8 W 7 D 0 L 1
Overall record in qualifying matches: P 50 W 31 D 5 L 14

Scotland women's coach Anna Signeul says her squad must strive to be at an even higher level once Euro 2017 comes round next summer, following Tuesday's 2-1 win over Iceland.
The Scots had already qualified for the tournament in the Netherlands but showed their appetite for success had not dissipated with an impressive showing against the group winners.
"We're not happy with this. We want to improve and be even better. But this is a really good start on our journey towards Rotterdam," the Swede told BBC Scotland.
"Hopefully we'll have a game against very good opposition in October and every game now will be important for us to improve, to get high intensity, fast decisions and to play really physically."

It seems at the moment you can't lift a paper or click on a website without Joey Barton's face staring back at you.
The midfielder's Rangers career hangs in the balance following a bust-up with team-mates and manager Mark Warburton, with Barton also under investigation after allegedly breaching rules about betting on football matches.
Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd, now at Kilmarnock, pulls no punches in his assessment of Barton in today's Scottish Sun, external.
"Joey Barton has written his autobiography — but I won’t be buying it," says Boyd.
"In my book he’s a disgrace.
"He’s used Rangers and their supporters from the second he walked through the front door.
"His conduct leaves me sick to my stomach and I urge all Ibrox fans to leave his hardback to gather dust on the shelves.
"For me he only came here as a PR stunt, intent on creating a media circus. It’s made some great copy but I find his behaviour nothing short of appalling.
"He’s deliberately antagonised people at Rangers and at other clubs just to get himself in the headlines.
"And his lack of respect really does anger me."

Greenock Morton overcame fellow Championship side Dundee United to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.
Jai Quitongo fired in off the underside of the bar to give Morton the lead.
And Thomas O'Ware headed in Ross Forbes' corner to double the hosts' advantage.
United reduced their deficit in the second half, Nick van der Velden finishing well, but the visitors could not find a leveller.
Martyn Waghorn's second-half hat-trick helped Rangers cruise past Championship leaders Queen of the South into the Scottish League Cup semi-finals.
The hosts, winless in their last three games, only had Jason Holt's goal to show for a dominant first half.
However, captain Andy Halliday clipped in the second and Waghorn shot from the edge of the box for his first.
The striker then converted Michael O'Halloran's cross before lashing home his eighth goal in seven games.

Scotland women celebrated reaching Euro 2017 by ending their qualifying campaign with an impressive 2-1 win away to group winners Iceland.
The hosts had trounced the Scots 4-0 in the reverse fixture but a repeat never looked likely as Jane Ross headed home Emma Mitchell's cross for the opener.
Fanndis Fridriksdottir's miscued effort crept past Gemma Fay for the equaliser.
But Caroline Weir hit the post before Ross converted a penalty for her second after Lisa Evans was felled in the box.
Good morning and a warm welcome to Wednesday's Scottish football live text.
Sitting comfortably? Good, then we'll begin...
