That's David Silva at his very best, an eye-of-a-needle ball. Gordon makes a good save, but Nolito is following up. That's the Manchester City we expected to see tonight.

    Nolito

A deft, threaded pass from David Silva and Sergio Aguero can see the whites of Craig Gordon's eyes. The Celtic keeper makes a good stop but the loose ball falls to Nolito to hammer home from a central position. We are level for the third time this evening...

The Celtic defence stands off Nolito as the Spaniard cuts in from the left but the City winger's low shot can't beat Craig Gordon, who flops down on the ball at his near post.

City come again soon after and again Nolito has the final touch, this shot blocked by Kieran Tierney.

He hooked it in to the back of the net, Bravo could only watch. We asked for more of the same and we're getting it. Dembele got a hat-trick against Rangers and now he's looking for one here. The centre-back pairing he's up against doesn't look great.

    Moussa Dembele

We're 71 seconds into the second half and Moussa Dembele has done it again!

Kieran Tierney swings in a cross from the left and Aleksandar Kolarov makes an absolute hash of an attempted clearance, allowing the ball to drop for Dembele, who tucks away a great hooked shot over his shoulder.

"Man City have been so open. There has been no midfield defensive cover at all. They look ragged and Dembele is murdering Kolarov.  But I think this second half is going to be different,  I think you'll see City control the game a lot more."

Will the managers change anything at half time? Celtic will need to bring on replacements at some point with all the chasing and harrying they are doing and they have good options on the bench in Leigh Griffiths, Patrick Roberts and Stuart Armstrong.

For City, Aleksandar Kolarov has not looked very comfortable in central defence. He's not been given a moment's peace by Moussa Dembele.

Though the scores are level, Manchester City have had much more of the ball and territory. The visitors have also had 12 attempts on goal to Celtic's eight.

It's been a fantastic contest. Celtic need the rest much more - City have had more of the ball and Celtic have had to chase. It's been a fantastic effort by both sides.

And breathe... What a first half of football!

It's been high-octane stuff, with neither side given a second to settle on the ball. Celtic have been in front twice and Manchester City have responded twice.

Roll on the second 45 minutes.
